I don’t care about the GGG fight, but I am very intrigued by the Bivol match. I think Canelo and Bivol share so many similarities, that I can see being a very close fight and very risky. Canelo is taking a big risk, good chance of an L. I love it. This is why I am a fan of Canelo.

I wanted Canelo to take this deal solely because of the Bivol match.

As far as the GGG fight goes, I have no interest in Canelo taking on a 39 year old that could easily have had L’s vs Derevyanchenko and Jacobs. GGG did not look good at all vs Derevyanchenko. He really got beat up. Looked like he was mauled by a wild animal.

After Bivol I prefer Beterbiev, Smith Jr, and if Benavidez keeps getting better and adding more top 10 opponents, like 2 more in spectacular fashion, then him third. Benavidez will make the fight more appealing if he can KO Lemieux and another top 10 fighter. If Canelo fights him now, he would easily and one-sidedly beat him. He will get schooled and punished due to being too green. And Canelo critics will flip flop and say Benavidez wasn’t good after all.

Odds makers right now would place Benavidez as a severe underdog. I guarantee odds would be a lot closer if they wait til 2023 to fight. Fans and analysts would have more samples to go by in predicting the outcome. The fight would be bigger, Canelo’s superiority of Benavidez would be a fraction less due to Canelo entering an age bracket where even some of the most legendary boxers became past prime. An aging Canelo means a slightly more vulnerable Canelo. This would help balance this fight. Great older boxer vs good young boxer.

That's why he refuses to fight any black top contender today. And even when andrade and Charlo say they will move up in weight to him him, he still goes with Bivol -- who is a bum--, and GGG -- who is washed up. Just fight somebody goo and in their prime canelomeat other than some over hyped euro bum
      Bivol is a bum?

      Wow, troll detected.

Bivol is a legit excellent challenge. Anyone who craps on it is a troll or blinded by their dislike of Alvarez.

Youre speaking of the Bivol fight, which i dont mind. The GGGrandpa is past its sell by date. 40yo and has looked like hes been in decline for some time now.

A jab fest and knocking out a old washed GGG. Floyd should have never given this guy the mantle. I see that neither one of these guys needed to unify or fight top fighters to get that Clenelo moneybag

Seems the black fighters need to up their game. There wasn't a single black champion at 168 when Canelo cleaned up. There isn't a single black champion at 175 at the moment either. The colour of a man's skin is irrelevant. Canelo is collecting belts He can only fight the guys that have them. There's no place for race in boxing.

Didn't he fight Austin Trout, Floyd, Erislandy Lara, James Kirkland and Danny Jacobs?
Austin Trout was an unbeaten champion in his priime, coming off a clinical and dominant performance against Miguel Cotto.

                      This was a HOF victory.

Floyd Mayweather. Well he did fight him, but who wouldn't have? Apart from Manny Pacquiao, no one was ducking Floyd coz he was thee ultimate cashcow.

James Kirkland. This guy was a bum, doesn't count. You might as well give GGG credit for fighting Wade.

Erislandy Lara. Good fight, and I believe this controversial fight, coming off the Floyd schooling, is the reason Alvarez started ducking elite black fighters.

he fought Jacobs but no one wanted him to fight Jacobs at the time, people wanted him to fight Charlo or Andrade.

Before the Floyd and Lara fights, I believe Alvarez would have definitely taken the Charlo and Andrade fights without hesitation.

But those two fights changed everything. They showed him his limitations and he didn't like having to fight uphill like that, not being able to time and land at will like he does against all his other plodding opponents.

Still, what are literally all these others guys doing?

Like I can't complain about Alvarez's comp when my guy is out here fighting actual bums off the street.

I'm talking to the Andrade and Jermall Charlo fans.

At least Alvarez is fighting champions. Hand picked champions but champions nonetheless.

Better than fighting a bum off the street.
