Comments Thread For: Benavidez Promoter Says Hearn Has No Interest in Making Andrade Fight: 'He Didn't Call Me Up'

Sampson Lewkowicz could not help but roll his eyes when he saw Eddie Hearn making the rounds on social media. Lewkowicz is the promoter of highly regarded 168-pound contender David Benavidez, who has cropped up in the news for calling out two-division titlist Demetrius Andrade, the slick southpaw promoted by Hearn's Matchroom Boxing, to a showdown sometime in the near future. Andrade, a longtime reigning champion at 160, is looking to make his start at the super middleweight in his next fight, against England's Zach Parker.

Young Edwards busy making a fight with who he calls 'the face of the zone' untested Conor Benn and a fighter only last week he saw as 'finished,' King Kell Brook'....and he's obviously got to try and sign his cash cow up for another beating by little Usyk. The thought of Benavidez is too much but he's more than likely going to come unstuck anyway with Zach Parker!

No shyte. Benavidez and his promoter said they want more than 7 million dollars to fight Andrade. Hearn can’t even outbid Frank Warren and lost by a margin of 85k in the Andrade-Parker purse bid.

Tbf it’s difficult enough to get Benavidez or Andrade to fight somebody with a pulse. Did people really think they were ever gonna fight each other?

Let’s be real, essentially all these dudes at 160-175 are just camped out by their phone’s hoping Canelo will ring.

The problem with Hearn is that he acts like he doesn't need to involve Haymon, which is ******! Fury vs. Wilder involved Haymon! Mayweather vs. Pacquiao involved Haymon! Joshua vs. Ruiz involved Haymon! So if Hearn wants Andrade vs. Charlo, call Haymon! If Hearn wants Andrade vs. Benavidez, call Haymon! If Hearn wants Haney vs. Davis, call Haymon! Haymon can talk to Sampson, Floyd, Ellerbe, etc.! First step, if you really want the fights to happen...CALL HAYMON!

It's crazy though! He did make Joshua vs. Ruiz, for his DAZN debut in the U.S., but now he acts like Haymon is supposed to work for him? It's obvious Arum and Oscar want nothing to do with him, so he might wanna try to play nice with Haymon. Didn't Eddie represent Canelo for the Plant fight?

Andrade is Bud Crawford without the P4P status.
