Certainly appears that way to me. Hard to claim you're being avoided when you're avoiding tough fights yourself.

Jaime avoided Andrade as long as he could. Bet he didn't see this one coming!

We will see how this plays out but I'm guessing Mungia wants nothing to do with Janibek either. Hope he proves me wrong though!

If Munguia accepts this, it just shows what a farce DLH is making of this guys career. He was mandatory to Andrade and has shown no interest. So if this is accepted, then avoiding Andrade was a duck. If he avoids him to go another route that's fine, but you don't avoid the title shot then take a shot at an interim title. That's just a straight up duck. But then we've been here before with this story haven't we. But at least Munguia is a nice humble guy, and was a genuine world champ, and not the king of the twittergram.

More than likely they will not take the fight. God forbid they fight someone that can actually fight back.

                  Interim title bs!

There should be no such thing as an "interim" title when their is a reigning and active champion at the weight.

Munguia has been trying to make a fight with GGG for over a year now. They were in negations last year but GGG decided to take the rest of the year off and not take any fights before Murata in Dec. Munguia has been taking stay busy fights not exercising his mandatory status waiting on GGG to wrap up his fight with Murata so he could fight him after Murata. But with GGG on the verge or likely signing a deal to fight Canelo after Murata I think Munguia knows he has to move on from GGG and he will fight either WBC eliminator/interim title which might become elevated to full world title if Charlo vacates and move up to 168. Or fight WBO interim which might be elevated to full world title if Andrade vacates and stays at 168. I think both Charlo and Andrade are at 168 by end of this year so it's about which fight his team likes better. Adames for WBC or Alimkhanuly with WBO. IMO I think he chooses Adames for WBC route.

Very true. Good points made regarding Andrade.
