He was world level, but far from elite. I would say Khan level. Maidana did it good against Mayweather, beat Broner, Josesito Lopez, Morales.

Look, the reason Khan almost had him starched with a body shot is because Maidana was a B level crumb catcher. I put him in the same category as Ricardo Mayorga. Crazy awkward to fight, could lose to anyone and mostly would against elite guys but could shock one of them if they weren't at their best

he was definitely overrated and mostly by floyd fans just cause he beat up floyd. the guy had a nearly even fight with old morales and got a dubious decision over corley, not to mention he couldnt ko glass chinned khan, was dominated by alexander, but he did beat ortiz and broner, 2 titans of the sport
