Pointless fight. You can't just drag some dude out of a kebab shop and throw him in the ring. Clarke is too old for this nonsense. He has to go hard or go home. Nash out.

He starts his career with a farce. THIS is why pro boxing will never be main stream!

Don't know why this is even a thread. He fought a fat pale blubber that looked like a boiled shrimp when he was done. No resistance what so ever.

In the amateurs every single fighter wants to be the best, they all have the same goal to reach the pinnacle which is the Olympics 'And the competition is pure, due to it technically not being Prize fighting' This is why pound for pound in terms of competition, the Olympic Title has more intrinsic value than any title in the professional game. Some of these belts may not exist in 50-100 years time, but the Olympic's will in some form etc

Is Keith Thurman really in the game now to be his absolute best? Really? 100%? I doubt it. What is Adrien Broner doing? What about Derek Chisora, well he has even come out and admitted that he is not in the game to be the best etc

Olympic Titles are more prestigious than professional belts. I am not saying they are more exciting, but when it comes to competition 'They have more intrinsic value'.

It’s funny when we say an opponent has been dragged off the street, but they haven’t but they actually pretty much were in this case.

His opponent was training for a white collar fight in a few weeks and he was trying to get a ticket for the fight last night, So they said he can go if he fights Clark at two days notice

That’s why his opponent was 0-0 too.

Some bookies had it at 7/4 for a first round win, they ended up suspended betting so lots of people must of jumped all over it.

Most were on the steep decline & shop worn. Lennox was done at 38. So many starting around 30 or older now. He should be fighting once a month on any card available. He should have 10 fights this year…
They are happy staying in their cushy amateur set ups. Its government funded so they are given a decent wage to goof about with their mates live in pretty nice apartment rent free with all meals provided and stretch their amateur careers out to make it to one more Olympic Village orgy.

Kind of reminds me of people who do another degree at uni just to avoid starting the 9-5 grind

The opponent was terrible. Literally dragged a guy in off the street. At clarke's age and experience he should be fast tracked it should have at least been someone ranked in the top 15 in Britain
