My heart started beating fast when I read this! I'm literally in a state of shock! Darren Sutherland had such potential and a great future ahead of him. He always seemed like a happy, friendly guy in interviews I've seen of him. Why would he do this? My heart goes out to his family and friends.

R.I.P Darren Sutherland - I was looking forward to watching your career progress. Hope your in a better place!

Of all the UK/ROI boxers i though he was the most likely of the last olympic set to make it to the top level.

            A sad day.

Yeah man he was my favorite, I liked the way he fought and the dude seemed like a class act all around. So happy too, about going pro and the prospect of being a world Champion. When I found out earlier today it was like a left hook to the solar plexus hit me.

This is truly sad news to hear.

He was one of the best prospects i have seen for a while. Could have been a world champ for sure.

My thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.

                      R.I.P. Darren.
