Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: Terence Crawford Provided Motivation; Would Tell Me Off In Training Camp

By Keith Idec - Amir Khan provided Terence Crawford with the royal treatment when his former rival arrived Monday in Manchester, England. A conquest Crawford beat by technical knockout sent a Rolls Royce to pick up the unbeaten WBO welterweight champion at the airport. Crawford has been put up at the same hotel where Khan has stayed all week as well.

Thanks to Khan’s wife for getting him packed off to the Crawford school of martial arts where rule no.1 is to wear a jockstrap.

In all seriousness, amazed that a professional boxer needs another current professional to tell him to put in more effort than he thinks is sufficient. Guessing the motivation isn’t there.

Khan was in camp with Pacquiao for years, I really don't think any fighter now is going to make him more than he is.

I'm sure training with Bomac and getting tips from Crawford did help.

It doesn't mean Khan will win, because you can train and improve almost every part of your body and your mind, but you can't strengthen your chin.

If he gets hit hard there on the jaw, he might go down, very likely. It's years past their prime, but I'll admit I'm excited about the fight, anybody can win. I lean towards Brook by tko, don't know the round, but wouldn't be surprised if Khan wins.

        It's a toss up.

It's obvious Khan admitted to them that he quit as they said he did ,as he did. Otherwise Bigmac & Tel wouldn't have entertained it. Good for Khan , the lads have both had tremendous camps so there can't be any excuses and they are both sure of the win .....oh wait a minute Khan put in a rematch clause!

If Khan beats Brook by a good fashion, I will some credit to Crawfish.

Okay, it's clear to Nash that King Khan has destroyed Crawford in sparring. We need that rematch and a Rocky style film made during the build up. Khan is the GOAT. Nash out.

Amen to that brother. Some **** can’t be taught. And this dude’s still gonna throw automatic combos at predetermined intervals like some **** from Legend of Zelda

My biggest problem with Khan is he can’t train the part of the mind that tells you when to throw a combo, when to throw a single, when to step in, when to stay at long range, when to get your guard up, and when someone’s about to land the ****ing bomb.

The man’s ring intelligence is horrific, and as with AJ up at HW, no amount of boxing wisdom will help you if you’re dumb as rocks, although at least AJ’s excuse is that he didn’t actually have an amateur career, and yet has still managed to realise that punches hurt.

I’m quite sure this fight will be decent. I expect some controversial decision and a money spinner rematch to milk this cash out for all its worth.
