Am I the only one who thinks Abraham beats almost everyone in the tournament?

You mention that AA will have trouble with the slickness of Ward and Direll. Well he did have a little trouble with Ayala, who's a fine boxer but he was a clear leader on the cards before the KTFO.
This has been my reasoning for picking Taylor to beat him. I've been thinking, Taylor can get up on the cards like he did against Froch, but Abraham doesn't have the workrate to get JT out of there in the last second like Froch did.

But NOW I'm thinking....how much of the workrate problems, and him getting stunned a few times, had to do with him sucking down so much to get down to 160? He could look like a new fighter at 168, so now I'm a little worried about my pick.

Bat, don't worry, you used the word in a proper manner.

It just so happens that the word is also used as a racial slur against Chinese people (or anyone Asian, really, since racists love ignorant generalizations).

dont get me wrong, Abraham has power. more than enough to get the job done with any of the guys in the super six, which is what makes him interesting in these matchups.
but this is a guy whos defense is just a generic high guard with no variations or head movement thrown in, who sits off 2/3s of the round and wins them with a flurry in the last minute, and who has very little defense for body shots.
Abraham is basically a 1 minute fighter. so many people have beaten him most the round, but then lost it because he simply does too much damage in that one explosion. fighters have figured that out, but just dont have the talent or ability to capitalize on it.
Good points man, I've only seen a full fight of AA once and it was against Oral.

Having never seen him fight before, I thought he was just taking it easy in the Oral fight, but, our two slick American fighters will give him problems. I don't know if AA will have the luxury of just turning it up in the mid-to late rounds against the two Andre's

could be true. I've also heard Abraham had lots of trouble making Middle.

with virtually no one left to fight at 160, minus Pavlik and Sturm

Arthur Abraham is probably moving up in weight at the right time.

Yeah, even though he's short, I think he's been struggling to make weight at MW for a while. Miranda thought the higher weight would benefit himself, but it backfired. Kessler looked pretty poor in the tuneup, I'm considering putting something on Ward. Froch gets outboxed, Taylor gasses out, and Ward and Dirrell are too green.

I favor him to win to. His power is awesome and he seems real resilent and determined it will be nice to see him against Taylor to see how he coopes with a almost top level boxer altough i would be disapointed if he dosen't manage to knock Taylor out. I tought he had some stamina problems in the simon fight (missed his last fight against oral) but i hope it's solved no when he is fighting at a higher weight. I look forward to this fight.

I agree with TS for the most part. I also favor Arthur Abraham to take it all. His strength, power, good chin, sturdiness and good defense to me puts him over the top.

The only thing that will prevent him from going all the way IMO is his tendency to sometimes not let his hands go a la Clottey.

The Germans judges are really in a class of their own when it comes to being biased and corrupt. Swedish television shows mostly fights taking place in Germany which give a really bad impression of the sport for casual viewers. I have talked with countless people who loathes boxing after having only watched fights taking place in Germany. It's sad really how much they miss out on.
