Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Weighs In At One Pound Less Than Kell Brook For Manchester Grudge Match

The weight for their fight Saturday night was much more of an issue during prolonged negotiations between Amir Khan and Kell Brook than it was Friday afternoon at the British Boxing Board of Control's scale. Khan and Brook both came in under the 149-pound limit for their long-awaited 12-round showdown at AO Arena in Manchester, England.

Just quickly watched. Khan looked terrible at the weight like a fat blokes lost to much weight to quickly.
I'd have to put my money on Brooke but that titanium off switch in his face makes him vulnerable.

Interesting about how Khan looked. Did Kell look weight drained or lethargic? I favor Brook in this one as well but both are so fragile and compromised that it could go either way.

Khan has a different body type to Brook.

Brook ascetically looked more impressive than Crawford.

Khan looked hydrated and his demeanor was rather energetic.

Brook yesterday and today, seemed depleted. But I will admit, he does seem to have had a great training camp.

My main concern was Brook's training camp. I will still be favoring Khan to win late round stoppage or over 12 rounds.

Khan seems to have made weight comfortably. Brook was peeled to the gills, and esthetically speaking looked fantastic, but he obviously had to cut down to minimum fat % and dehydrated to come in below 149.

Kell looks alot better and less gaunt than he did against Crawford. We have a real fight on our hands.

I just learned that Brook has been at WW since he turned pro in 2004 at 18. That's pretty crazy. I wonder why he never gave 154 a shot.

He jumped to 160 because this man is obsessed with Amir Khan. Khan jumps to MW, Brook jumps to MW, Khan fights Crawford, Brook fights Crawford, Khan hovers around WW wasting away, Brook hovers around WW wasting away.

After Golovkin whooped him, he should have dropped the IBF 147 lb. belt, taken a year and a half off, and come back as a 154 lber.
