This would be a hell of a scrap. In 2002, Mayorga wouldve cleaned out the Super Middle of right now I think except for Benevides, and Canelo. I think he'd beat todays Plant, Saunders, Jacobs, Ryder. When I was a kid I called his style, I'm the boss.. It cost him later but not in 2002. Yeah 2002 Mayarga vs Benevidez wouldve been a war for the ages.

Mayorga was a bum. A very entertaining bum but still a bum. He beat Vernon Forest twice and besides that he hasn’t done a damn thing. He ain’t cleaning out sh.it. For what it’s worth that first Vernon Forest fight was off the hook. The only fight I’ve ever been to till this day and it wasn’t planned. I was going to Pachanga to gamble and stumbled into a very exciting 3 rounds.
