  • Comments Thread For: Hearn on Khan-Brook: Will I Sit Down and Watch It? Probably Not; Both Guys Are Finished

Eddie Hearn believes there was much more appeal and merit to an Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook welterweight match-up back when he was the one in charge trying to make the British super fight happen.

Hahahaha, it was a 'Huge Fight' about 2 years ago, but since that time, both have gone past their peak, coincidentally round about the time he lost control of both fighters.

Absolute classic. Promoters gon' promote, man

Hearn says that when he was trying to do the fight it was so bigger, for a world title. But he was still trying to be involved in this exact fight, back in August he said he was in negotiations with them both about it. Now he wants us all to know he won't even watch it. Brook and Khan are both past it, everybody sees that, but Hearn still doing the jealous teenage girl routine about any rival show.

Hearn will do all he can to get the winner of this fight to face Conor Benn, so telling people how shot they both are seems short-sighted. Although everybody he puts Benn in with is shot, so maybe it's past the point where he can deny it anyway.

Brook-Khan isn't a great fight, feels a bit pointless, but it's not much different to the Parker-Chisora rematch Hearn recently staged. All 4 guys unlikely to win a world title in the future. The winner goes on to lose to a top contender, the loser goes on to lose to a prospect or retires.

Nothing to suggest either guy is not in their peak. So cause Brook lost to Golovkin, Spence, and Crawford, all much better fighters than him he is past prime? Or that Khan lost to Canelo and Crawford? Nonsense. This is the best version of Khan and the best version of Brook. Nothing to suggest otherwise. Both top tier athletes, 35 not 50. Prime vs prime. No excuses. The winner is the best out of the two of them and probably gets a shot at a world title. All this past prime crap is so convenient. Yeah, no losses count cos past prime, yada, yada. This fight is on PRIME TIME cos these guys are so peak. Nash out.

Expect Hearn to seated somewhere ringside come fight night! He probably will not stand up until everybody is gone since that's a dead giveaway!

No one want to waste his time by watching Mr. Glass Chin vs Mr. Glass Eye except diehard British fans.
