Arturo Beterbiev the most unpopular undefeated fighter in boxing history.

I remember seeing the Cloud vs Beterbiev fight back in 2014 and expected to see him in some big fights the next few years. He is 37 now and undefeated with no decisions in 17 wins.

Where was a Ward or Kovalev fight? Or any name fighter. Is he fighting as a hobby to keep in shape? Come on dude, you are 37 now.

on one hand he has accomplished a lot in being the lineal champ of a division. on the other hand he could have done more with better promoting. hes like the opposite of ward who had everything handed to him on a silver platter. he had to scratch and claw just to get any fight given that nobody cared or wanted to see him. networks wanted to make ward a star even though he was a complete cheat and once they were invested it was too late to pull the plug. networks never really cared for beterbiev much so he didnt get the same opportunities as cheater ward. he didnt have entire tournaents setup for him, he didnt go to hbo and demand to fight bums instead of good fighters like ward

I can't give Ward or Kovalev much boxing status because they don't have him on their resume. They are all the same age. How could he not have fought one of them? That is the problem with boxing today. Back in the 70's or 80's the fans would have demanded these fights and got them. You are right. Today it is all about marketing. In the old days a fighter had to prove himself or people would not go the fight and nobody made money. Now we have all these bum fights on PPV and fans pay for it so that is all that matters. Back in those days you had ratings for weekend fights on Sportworld, Wide World of Sports and CBS Sports Saturday. If a fighter didn't entertain he would not get the fight. Beterbiev would have been a star back then.

Horrible promotions unless this dude is breaking hands or injuring self no reason record is so lackluster. Blame promotion if ask me. Should atleast have kovalov on resume ward was a 1 n done no1 talks bout canelo run at lhw so shouldnt wards especially when add a ton of ? Shots

Some guys are miss managed in their careers. Blame the business side of it and the behind the scenes aspects of the game.

Its probably the Promoters fault . I remember back then when GGG had a Contract with Universum Box Promotion based in Germany and fighting on the Undercards of Felix Sturm who was a Beltholder @160 . Once he left Universum and started fighting in the US his Career Skyrocked and you could see with each Fight the TV Numbers were rising and rising and he started become a Household Name.

He should have fought Kovalev, Ward and Bivol. He past his best days for a long time. He is 37 and looks slow. Bivol outboxes him now imo.

Beterbiev's team declined a fight with Kovalev back when he was the three belt unified champ. He was apparently in no rush then and still doesn't seem to be.
