Thats from way back - think Marvin Hagler. "Hard to get up for a xx mile run when you go to bed in silk pyjamas. " - or words to that effect. Jacobs must have netted close to 10 million with the fights he's been in.

who you got on this fight?

Fu#k. Well, in the pick em league, I went with Ryder by close decision. I haven’t followed Jacobs as of late. I haven’t watched him since he was up against Canelo. Funny because I’ve heard some say that his bouts against Canelo and GGG are considered his best performances, even though he lost those! I guess he gets points for being competitive in both, which he was. I remember him performing better against GGG. Never got out of 2nd gear against Canelo.

I’ve just read that he was unimpressive as of late and had a long lay off. All of these things considered, along with his age, had me thinking a loss for Jacobs was more than likely.

All good reasons to go for Ryder ... but the way I saw it, he lost, except he didn't on the scorecards. I'm falling out of love with this sport - again. I totally acknowledge what you say about Jacobs but even allowing for age and inactivity and 'silk pyjama syndrome' I still thought he'd have more than enough skill for Ryder. I thought Jacobs won 7-5 or 8-4 but I failed to take into account dodgy British judging and with me being a Brit too - sucks to say it but it's true. Anyway - well done on the Pick Em - you afe steaming ahead.

Jacobs got that huge Canelo payday years ago and since then he simply looks like the guy that doesn`t care any more.

jacobs has always fought this way. the one outlier was the quillin fight but i think quillin just walked into a big punch. when jacobs throws punches its like hes not really trying to hit you its so strange, but quillin is just like derpppp
