At welterweight it's hard to argue against him because he has such a size advantage and throws so many punches it's hard to win rounds against him. Small guys like Cotto or Floyd or Mosley would have to work their ass off to get inside, and at that point Williams has landed 10 punches.

I do think he is in for a somewhat rude awakening when he starts fighting people his own height and reach.

a lot of you guys don't understand how flukes work.

rematches are never flukes. if anything in a rematch, the winner of the first match is supposed to do even better in the rematch than in the first match.

in other words, flukes only happen in the first fight, not the rematch.

saying quintana/pwill II was a fluke is wrong.

one rd ko waaaaay more impressive. you have to have actually watched pwill fight before. he was WAAAAAAY off his game that night, obviously. there's not even a question about it.

So was manny's win v hatton less impressive than floyd's? How bout when Tyson blasted out spinks? Those were pretty flukey huih.

To the TS, you should look at Pwill's talent and fighting style. He is a VERY difficult out for anyone due to his aggressive whirlwind style. He has long ass arms and can fight inside, he has a lot of tools that other boxers don't have. That's why he is considered to be a real contender. He ko'd Verno who is a tough SOB and schooled Winky like no one ever has.

Name me a better up and coming contender besides maybe Juanma?

did RJJ give Griffin a rubbermatch after the 1st round KTFO?

did Lewis have to give Rahman a rubbermatch after the KTFO?

a KTFO is pretty conclusive. no need for the rubbermatch.

He's no hypejob you ignorant. He's one of the best p4p4 fighters out there.

Yes he lost to Quintana when he wa obviously looking past him and didn't train hard.Got him out in 1 damn round in the rematch.

And he is a lot better than he was then.Even if he losses to Pavlik he ain't no hypejob.

I also don't get why everyone is favoring him over pavlik.. Pavlik was schooled by an ATG in Bhop and williams was schooled by a 2nd tier WW.. and if u compare their resume, pavlik ****s on williams and not even close.. Pavlik would KO no doubt his defense is crappy.

Once again... Paul haters REFUSING to bring up the rematch where Quintana was knocked the F out in the FIRST round.

This isn't a resume debate.. and resumes don't win fights.

Paul Williams is a little overhyped. He has bullied smaller opponents throughout his career, but is labelled as the most feared? He is a good fighter, but nothing more than that. I think Pavlik will show him up if they end up fighting.
