Based upon your comment, I don't think you realize how this all works. Simply put, the only power that Arum, Hearn and Al Hayman have are their exclusive network contracts. If the PBC loses their exclusive contracts with Fox or Showtime, the PBC becomes just another homeless promotional outfit doing PPV's like Triller.

If you are as big a fan of the PBC as you seem to be, pray Al doesn't lose his exclusive with FOX because there is no way to spin the damage it will do.

That's only assuming they do not pick up another network contract. If the lose FOX and can't replace that loss? Then obviously it would be a loss for the PBC. But if they can get another deal that gives them a bigger budget? That would be much better than their current FOX deal that is not the same as it once was.

The ratings for PBC sucks. If they get another Network contract it's going to be worth a lot less I'm sure.

I hope this PPV tanked when it comes to the actual buy rate. We should not be encouraging 75 dollar PPVs for fighters coming off losses. That is disgusting. I don't care about "supporting" the sport I love when this is more like, executives TAKING ADVANTAGE of the people who "love" the sport. It isn't right and you have to show that by not paying for these money grabbing cards.

I have heard the PPV actually did pretty well for what it contained. I’ve heard 2 numbers that are both decent.
I heard they did 289,000 and 257,000 respectively. That’s really quite good news

Just because someone throws on some free fights while flipping channels doesn’t mean they are dropping $70+ on a PPV.
I’ve learned when the main card is on and there is 0 social media buzz then it’s going to be a bomb. At no time was this fight trending before, during, or after the main fight.
Would be shocked if it did even 50k buys.

And that’s just network tv not taking into account app users like myself who get their traditional stations on apps far cheaper than cable l. I wonder what the real numbers are

I would be very surprised if they released the ppv numbers, or accurate ones. If they are telling us a million watched the free fights, but not how many paid for the main event, you know it's bad.
