If it wasn't for the ridiculous rematch clause Joshua would be out of the equation having been beaten hands down and we would be seeing the fight that matters Fury v Usyk . Usyk is an excellent boxer and a joy to watch but sticking to the facts is never going to do to Fury what he did to Joshua .Fury is a much bigger version of Usyk and that means only one winner.

Blame Usyk then, he was mandatory, could have refused it point blank.

I think it’s more that people would just like Fury to actually fight someone other than Wilder or an absolute bum, as that’s all he’s done for the last 7 years since the 7 punch per round stinkfest against Wlad (apart from ducking the rematch then getting a ban for being a drugs cheat).

He gets all these fantasy victories over top 10 opponents without actually fighting any of them.
