Comments Thread For: Conor Benn Could Be The UK Face of DAZN

This could be the year of Conor Benn - Eddie Hearn certainly hopes so, after making him the face of DAZN's UK output as it heads into its first full year.

Despite all the money Hearn spends, the face isn't a top fighter like Crawford or Canelo but an unproven prospect trading on his family name. Meanwhile on Sky they have Taylor vs Catterall, 2 UK guys in their prime for an undisputed title, but they will put a lot more focus, promotion behind shot Brook vs shot Khan. I understand the reasons why but still a shame.

If he’s your face it doesn’t say much for the standard of your product.

Uhhhhhh of course he is! And he will fight guys that are all near retirement! We established this last night. Any TRUE Boxing Fan have seen it coming.

Umar tore Eddie a new one on IFL yesterday. Was awesome to see.

One thing I MUST give to Eddie is that, He knows his audience. Often times he’s Stated how they are “casual fans” with little to no interest in the B side Fighter. They just want to drink, sing sweet Caroline and attend a “glitzy event”. And what he’s done with his stable of bums has been pretty remarkable.

Like he said, I can put AJ V Joe blogs and sell Wembley out!

You had a good run Hearn. Aj from 2016 -2022 at world level.

cant wait to see the back of you and your toxic blind fanbase, who Eddie himself labels “casual fans”

conor is conning the public and Rodtang is in love with him.

He is marketable. He has the punching power, exciting style, and has been easily beating the level of opposition placed in front of him.

He hasn't had that difficult of an opponent to date, but he's not dull, which is good for his earning potential.

Nah, they’ll let Boots and Ortiz Jr pick up titles, they’ll likely face each other, then move up a division. Then and only then Conor will fight for a vacant title, then they’ll proceed to milk it.

If Joshua was kept away from all dangerous foes, You can bet ya last buck Conor ain’t ever facing a Boots or Ortiz Jr.

We know the blueprint Eddie uses. It worked so well with AJ because Britain love a heavyweight. And Brits love the Benn name.

After Benn it will be Campbell Hatton.

All the short term gains have cost em In the long term. Fancy relying on Connor Benn to be a face of your network.

                  Brilliant isn’t it.

Hearn wanted the name 'Broner' knowing that he's overweight and has a complete lack of discipline when he's out of nick , even Broner had the sense to refuse the 'offer'. If this is what the 'face' of Hearns DAZN is then god help him and his poor innocent causals ......put Benn in with Ekow for the European and British title , I doubt he'd even get those.
