That's fantastic for Serrano she gets another huge pay day if she wins. I'M NOT REALLY AWARE OF THEIR WEIGHT CLASSES, WHO IS THE BIGGER FIGHTER BETWEEN THE 2. IS SERRANO MOVING UP OR DOWN?

Yes you can slow the pace down but this is woman’s boxing if you know how they fight they don’t exactly employ the same figure out tactics men do they fight on emotion more . Three minute rounds would on,y see less skill as they are going to fatigue much faster .
Well I never suggested 12x3, maybe they should do less rounds but three minute rounds , because I still feel two minute rounds make a fighter rush their work, like the old amateur point scoring system. I don’t think it makes for good professional fights and that’s often why women’s boxing looks sloppy and rushed, aside from lack of technical ability among a lot of them

      Just my opinion of course

There's a time and a place for setting the rules and its not at the pre-fight press conference when everything is already in place. Using that opportunitiy to make Taylor look bad for rejecting "equality" when she's obviously the faster fighter and beneficiary of shorter rounds and a shorter fight, and therefore to try and gain an advantage, is disgraceful.

Why aren’t there 3 minute rounds already? Like a poster mentioned it benefits boring amateur styles.

Women fight for the same duration as men in MMA.

          Change the rules

            Mind games is all.

The decision would require the unanimous approval of the promoters and the sanctioning bodies, whose titles both Serrano and Taylor are fighting for and which are responsible for lending the event so much historical weight. Moreover, the head of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaiman, has publicly stated that his organization will not sanction any women’s bouts that consist of three-minute rounds, citing research that shows that women are more susceptible to concussions than men. On that view, if 35-year-old Taylor (20-0, 6 KOs) and 33-year-old Serrano (42-1-1, 30 KOs) were to push for three-minute rounds, that would mean their title bout, in theory, would be downgraded to a unification bout, not an undisputed championship.

Having said that i'm rooting for just simply because she has struggled her whole life. I like Katie Taylor but i prefer hard knock life victories
Not just because her opponent wants her too. It’s because Katie has had a few opportunities to help push women’s boxing forwards. She isn’t interested in that though, it’s all about Katie and whatever advantage she can get she wants.

She Wouldn’t even consider a Fight with shields. So it’s okay roasting arum over his comments, But when Female fighters don’t care for the next generation, What chance does women boxing have?

No i hear you are right but if she chooses not to push the envelope and just is content with winning and if possible having every conceivable advantage whats wrong with that? Any boxer would do it given the opportunity. Now if you are looking at a woman to be an ambassador of the sport then maybe she may not tick your boxes. There is no denying she has been spoon fed but the fact she is unassuming and shy of the camera i tolerate her. She is a good fighter too. If she did duck Shields then she is smart also.

you were also right about your inside info on Whyte and Hearn's relationship

Smart move by Katie. She has obviously seen the olympics before and understands the whiter someone is, the worse their conditioning is.

How can fighting to the rules of boxing and fighting in your opponents backyard as the title holder be having every conceivable advantage?

Taylor should have gone for 3 min rounds, what an opportunity to make history and go for equity with men's boxing. Not a good look for Taylor. Gonna be a good fight though
