why have people started saying cotto is shot all of a sudden??

Sure he got beat by tony, and could have lost to clottey, but look at the circumstances??
Against tony, there was a huge huge chance that tony was using the cheating wraps and if cotto lasted aslong as he did when tony was wearing plaster then good on him, you cant blame him for taking a knee. Also againsnt clottey who is one tough sob he was cut to ribbons very very early one and fought on with one eye for the rest of the fight against a fighter no one would ever want to fight.
But imagine tony wasnt wearing teh dodgy wraps and cotto wasnt cut early in his last fight?? He would have looked more convincing and have beaten clottey with ease in my eyes. All im saying is dont underestimate him becuase i have a firm belief he is going to steam roll though pac man come november the 14th. just my 2 cents worth.

In my eyes, Cotto is not shot or past prime, he just fights more cautiously because of his loss to Margarito. Nobody should underestimate him.

I totally agree that cut affected him in the Clottey fight. It was a very, very nasty cut.

Cotto is far from shot and to be honest i havent seen any post to that effect, People making pacman the favourite doesnt mean they're underestimating cotto or calling him shot.

Predicting this fight for me is easy and simple, Pacman is the favourite for me and he shouldnt have too much trouble in winning from the 6th round onwards because he has had an easier time with David diaz, De la hoya and Hatton in his last 3 fights while Cotto has been in wars in his last few fights.

People are not so much calling him shot, but saying he's way past his prime and he isnt that good. I just cant undewrstand why they think this? i have a feeling he's going to steam roll through pacman and tko him late round when pac cant take anymore punishment.

He isn't in his prime anymore in my opinion, he looked his best in judah, and mosleys fight. Since the Margarito fight he has looked not as great as he once was, I actually think if Clottey had fought the Cotto that Judah and Mosley fought then Clottey would have been stopped when Cotto had Clottey cornered and landing all those punches on Clottey.

Clottey fought a shell of Cotto, Cotto has been damaged goods since mr. plaster beat the confidence out of Cotto. Thats my opinion, you can have a different one because you have a different brain.
