I think that Lomachenko's Amateur record, and the fact that he has had a stellar pro record since his very first pro fight, showed no "sense of entitlement". He IS entitled, if it comes to that. He's the better fighter, the better to watch, and the better attraction for PPV sales and box office.

Why would they do that...They want the BEST fights...or should. After all, boxing is part of the entertainment business. And a Lomachenko fight would be by far the most entertaining, and most successful for the cash box.

Yes, boxing is entertainment but entertainment, like fashion and beauty, are subjective.

Loma’s fight with Teo surely wasn’t entertainment for most of the fight -unless you enjoy a guy not fighting for 7 rounds. See, you never really know what you’re going to get. So to say someone can’t deny something you don’t know will happen is ridiculous.

If you want to back on unifications over mandos, fine, but Loma will be more entertaining isn’t valid.

your amateur record shouldn’t entitle you to a title fight in just your second pro fight and again in your 3rd after losing your second. He was actually demanding a title shot in his very first pro fight having done nothing as a pro at that point. That’s 100% entitlement. I know all the reasons about why he lost to salido but at the end of the day, he still lost. Later on, he lost his belts to teo and made excuses as to why. Prior to that he took the franchise title instead of facing haney. So now that haney is up for a real title fight, loma wants to skip the line again. Sorry but that’s not fair no matter how much you may love him. Let the young guy get his shot and then try and fight the winner as opposed to trying to skip ahead of the guy that you previously passed on fighting.

He did but he was going after a belt. I am a Haney fan but even i can concede it made no sense for Loma facing a mandatory when a belt was up for grabs. Likewise it makes no sense for Kombosos to fight Loma he will get his arse depicted and embarrassed. At least with Haney he stands a realistic chance of winning and a chance to be true undisputed. Even if he magically beats Loma which i can not see happening he achieves nothing.

This clip was from a post fight interview after Teofimo Lopez KO Richard Commey. Hater-Chenko, refused to give Teofimo Lopez credit for stopping Richard Commey. Vasily's voiced was cracking due to anxiety of having to now face the man that was hunting him down and just KO Richard Commey and unified inside two rounds.

Didn't Lomachenko totally destroy Commey recently. 119-108 twice. The worst beating by far that he's ever had. After he asked the ref to stop the fight in rd 7, he had pity on him and eased off. Commey may now be finished as a top fighter.
