I felt that this show was really a well put together program, everything from the fighters to the production was miles above the next great champ. I also thought that this fighter that pulled off the upset tonight, Gomez or something was biting off alot more than he could chew, and as boxing has proven time and time again you never know who's gonna win that's why they fight the fights. Ishe will be the favorite to win it all now that Manfredo Jr has been eliminated, but he should watch out there are some guys on there that can definately fight so it will be very interesting to see how it all plays out.

Also was it just me, or did anybody else feel kinda weird everytime they showed Najai Turpin, just knowing what happened a short while ago, creepy to me!
Yeah but watch out for my boy Jimmy Lange. He fights alot in DC and Baltimore. He's my sleeper pick. I have seen him alot and the kid has good skills

Sorry to those who liked it, but IMO this show was just plain bad. I got nothing against the fighters, and if any of them can use this to further their careers, more power to them. I never have anything against fighters, but the show ******. It was boring as hell and played up the family angle waaay too much. I'm not even sure who it's supposed to appeal to...do tehy think that middle-aged housewives care about boxers' wives and daughters? Do they think that boxing fans care about them? Not sure.

Plus all the phoney **** they did around the fight was ridiculous. That press conference? The only "reporter" there was from Access Hollywood (you could see their logo splashed all over thep lace if you looked hard). I mean, are they trying to convince us that this was actually a fight that garnered the attention of the press? And that stand-in crowd was ridiculous. Oh look, there's James Caan in the audience! Right...as if they didn't big him to be there. And the way they had the crowd jumping around...I'm sure they gave them instructions before the cameras started rolling.

Of course the edited fights were the worst thing about the whole mess...you watch, they'll script out every fight to make it look liek it was the closest, most exciting match in world history. Plus it's alawys shifty when we don't get the judges' scores...obviously this means that what they were showing us did not represent what actually happened during the fight.

This show will be cancelled soon, I bet. Nobody is going to watch it. It's boring and does not appeal to anyone in particular.

I periodically watched it and eventually deleted it off my DVR. It had its ok moments but as expected it was to damn dragged out and focused on family life (but that seems to be the concept) I didnt like it and aside from having top level fighters compared to The next great champ it still is the same....I appreciate the effort but it just flat out blew ass.

i like the show and i think its doing what they intended... its a reality show about boxing, not a boxing show... they aren't going to show the entire fight or all the training, if they did it would only interest boxing fans and thats not going to get prime time ratings... so they're building drama and focusing on the stories of the fighters to get the mainstream audience...

I don't get to watch the show, don't have NBC on satellite (local stations, which I can't receive with antennae) won't give me the waiver I need. Shame, I was looking forward to it when I saw the promos.

I was very impressed with the show last night. I like the fact that all the fighters are already sharp skilled fighters and not just chumps off the street. Well produced and I like how they get you emotionally invested in the fighters.

I hadn't heard about Naije until I was speaking to someone from work this morning. That is so sad, although I think it's cowardess to leave a young daughter behind like that.

BTW, Ultimate Fighter is a quality show as well.

I like the show and picked the right guy to win, I pick Gomez over Mayfredo, only cause gomez looked like a better fighter IMO, I guess cause he kinda looks like Barrera

Did you guys know that the black guy who fights next week from the East, kills him self after his 1st loss?

i like TUF, the ultimate fighter too, but i do think the contender does a better job portraying itself to the mainstream public...

some of the immature instances shown on TUF perpetuates the stereotype that fighters are dumb, immature and barbaric... it doesn't help that the UFC has them trapped in a house with no TV, radio, magazines and interent, but give them plenty of alcohol....

Yeah the dramatized camera angles and crap during the fights was so damn annoying just like Oscars. They make a simple jab that in any regular boxing fight, would be something a person takes and that's it. Here they slow motion it so you can see his face flinker and stuff to make it seem huge. Really annoying though the show definitely kicks Oscar's butt.
