This is a hard one to call, but I think Cotto would be Marg. Cotto obviously felt the power from the plaster of paris early on, because he was not standing his ground at all. Cotto was back pedaling and had his back against the ropes more often than not. If he wasn't feeling the power he would've been able to stand flat footed more, and throw something to make Marg think twice about running in like he was doing. And not to mention it was a close fight that providing it went to a decision, and if Cotto didn't go down, he would have stood a chance at getting a decision win.
Margarito beats Cotto 10 times out of 10.

Cotto is pretty macho about it... I remember reading how he said he wouldn't clinch even in a rematch, which doesn't bode well for him. Mosley used very effective clinching to keep from getting hit as much, so that hurts Cotto's chances.
On the other hand, I remember watching a round or two where it seemed like Cotto couldn't miss Margarito, he just unloaded at will on him. Given how much of a beating Margarito has taken between Cotto and Mosley (plus all his other fights before them), it's quite possible that he will never have the chin he used to have either, which would help Cotto a lot.
I guess the only way to REALLY know is to have a rematch.Comment

If and only if Margarito didn't use plaster against Cotto.. then I agree. Cotto gave him everything he had and Margarito took it and gave it back just as worse.
BUT.. if Margarito was using plaster, it nullifies what I said. Because I doubt Cotto would have gotten broken down to that extent. Let's not forget that he was winning most of the fight before the pressure got to him.
It doesn't make sense that Marg would use plaster against Mosley and not Cotto.Comment

Anyone here think Angulo would beat Cotto if he wasn't sick like he was against Cintron? I think he could. I don't think Angulo is an elite fighter, but he is an example of another guy who would likely pressure the **** out of Cotto and make his punches count similar to what Margarito did. If you make Cotto back up, he is ineffective. Shane Mosley not only beat him and got a bad shake on the cards in my opinion, he also layed out the blue print to beat Cotto. All you got to do is pressure him and throw punches at the same time and he will give in. Clottey pressured, but didn't throw the punches necessary to break Cotto's will. Whether or not Manny is strong enough to do that remains to be seen.Comment
