It wouldn't. If he hadn't been hurt he wouldn't have been backing up and dancing around so much, so he'd be far less likely to run out of steam. Cotto was exhausted because he had to move around so much. That would never happen if the punches he was absorbing were nowhere near as powerful.

You can always spot the Cotto haters asking for the proof when its so obvious.

clottey was able to pressure cotto without plaster... that means margo can do the same, but since margo is more offensive minded than clottey, margo probably makes cotto quit again.

He was backing up against Clottey wasn't he? If Clottey had the stamina of Margarito he would have done the same.

No it wasn't the plaster that beat Cotto , it was Margarito's pressure that pushed Cotto 2 his Limit,Cotto was out of Gas.

Answer this question for your proof:

If you had to use plaster in one fight and one fight only...

Would you use it in the biggest fight of your career?

                  or

Would you use it in the fight after the biggest fight in your career?

                  There is your proof.

He wasn't backing up against Clottey as much as he was against Margarito.

Come on man, Margarito is not a monster puncher, he's only average. Two people who sparred with both Marg and Pacquiao both said Pacquiao hits harder, yet he's a much smaller guy than Marg.
