Teo could have made twice as much re-matching Loma but refused. Why is that?
Not sure about that. I think he clearly beat Loma, and didn't give him a rematch because was not obliged too, and wanted to piss him off because of bad blood and things Loma and his team said. This said, I do think he was a bit of a weight bully at 135, and I think if he would have concentrated on his fight against Kamboosos instead of being immature and underestimating him, he would have won. But mentally, there are issues.. and I don't think he will be able to overcome them.

Lopez cant hang with those guys at 140lbs except maybe against Pedraza who was once a 130lber.Teo struggling with his ego, his dad, girlfriend.. kid lacks maturity, that's all. This said, 140 is a whole other ball game. Not sure he can fit in with the top guys.. Would he have a chance against Taylor, Prograis, Ramirez, even Mathias or Pedraza? Not sure. I feel the jump from 135 to 140 is a bit tricky.. like from 154 to 160.

Lopez was my favourite fighter. Now I not only think, but know , he's a complete idiot. Let's call his bluff. He says he's going to go M.I.A. . Ok loser, go missing . At the 6 month mark of your disappearance, I'll start celebrating knowing your gone forever. Your a coward Lopez.Comment

No, don't get me wrong,! I have no sympathy for Teo, but I do know that his Father made a BIG mistake, keeping him @ 135! I've seen reports where they say Teo will struggle to make 140!
Top Rank’s Plans To Bring Teofimo Lopez Back At 140 After He’s Medically Cleared
December 10, 2021
Arum believes that the stress of Teofimo draining down to fight at 135 made his asthma problem worse, resulting in him being dehydrated and having the throat issue.
What Arum might not realise is that 140 pounds might not be enough for Teofimo to avoid continuing to have problems with his dehydration related problems. A rehydrated Teofimo weighs near 160 lbs, and that’s STILL a lot of weight to take off during fight week to get down to 140.
Losing 20 lbs of water weight isn’t a walk in the park for anyone, particularly someone with an asthma problem like Teofimo. You hate to say it but Teofimo may need to move up to 147 for him to avoid having problems in the future, and maybe even 154.
Bob Arum reveals that he has a number of 140-pounders in his Top Rank stable to choose from to match against former undisputed lightweight champion Teofimo
So because of the above, I think Teo vs. Barboza is a 50/50 fight! I think it's a great test for them both! Can't wait to see it! On another note, i don't think it will be long before Tank suffers the same fate! He should seriously consider going to 140 in 2023, if not sooner! Regis Prograis PLEASE!!!
Devin Haney (5'9") and Ryan Garcia (5'10") will be there soon enough anyway!

He beat a gun shy Loma. Loma was out to lunch for the first 6 rounds. Did he even throw a punch ? I think for the first time Loma felt intimidated by the size and strength of his opponent. So he just went on the defensive. Starting the 7th, he started picking up the pace and winning rounds. Outboxing and outpunching Lopez. Lopez won the fight , but narrowly. If this was a true championship fight, 15rds, like the not too old days, Loma would've taken the fight. Back when boxing was boxing , 12 round fights were for USBA and NABF titles or title eliminators. The 15 round fights were for the true championship. Anyhow, Lopez didn't impress beating Loma. He won, but it wasn't impressive. Then he gets clobbered by Kambosos. Funny how everything was fine at 135 for Lopez until he loses. Then the excuses start flying. Him and his ret arded old man are delusional and a disgrace to the boxing scene.Comment
