I like Barboza, he's a good humble dude. I hope he wins if they fight. Should be an interesting match up.
The Barboza matchup looks to be a really interesting one. Arnold has an interesting background, growing up in a fighting family and starting boxing early then taking a hiatus before returning at 18.
Barboza is everything Teo is not. He's not flashy but he's technically sound in his skills, consistent and he seems very grounded and emotionally strong.
Teo may have the advantages in athletic talent, speed and power but I think it's a tough fight for him if he can't catch and hurt Barboza early.Comment

Good points. Barboza is pissed off, too.

That's a little harsh. I don't see things black and white like that. Context always matters in a loss. You can have very close fights; you can have fights where the loser actually puts on more of a hurt but somehow lost more rounds; you can have robberies; you can have sudden injuries like what happened to Russell; all kinds of things can happen to give it context and make the loss not as severe or completely unjustified.
Anyway, I think Teofimo is done. I've been saying this every since I read that article on here about Teofimo seemingly losing his mind before the Kambosos fight. I'll have to find the article because it was excellent and gave a lot of insight into Teofimo's mind, which is completely unhinged. The kid might have a severe mental illness. He's crashing like a flaming meteor and by the time he hits Earth, he's going to be in a million pieces. That's how I see it.Comment

Wow! You pick Barboza by KO? He definitely could win, but I think they want this fight because Barboza can't punch. At least he's not known for his punching power. He's a guy that outboxes the other guy and cruises to a decision. This is exactly why I think they have Teofimo matched up with this guy. Teofimo clearly has holes in his defense, so you want to come back with a non-puncher. That's how I see it.
So if anything, this will be either a decision for Barboza or a KO for Lopez.Comment

Considering all the chatter about mental health issues and the comparison of Teo with Ryan G. As someone in the mental health industry,(and by no means claiming to have a superior take) It appears that Teo has actual serious mental health needs and sometimes makes me wonder if he has CTE. Ryan is just becoming a grown up and probably is struggling with finding his identity. Ryan actually is acting like many in his generation while Teo's presentation is very concerning.Comment

We'll see. The Kambosos guy is more featherfisted than Barboza, and he put Lopez down and bloodied his face, with the bruises to go with. Barboza is more lively and fluid compared to the stiff robot Lopez lost to.

And that's too bad. After he beat Loma, he became unlikable. Not many fans care, except to see him get beat again. I'm in that group.
