Comments Thread For: Barrios: If I Handle My Business, I Automatically Solidify Myself at 147

By Thomas Gerbasi - A couple weeks before he defeated Danny Garcia in what was the latest "most important fight" of Keith Thurman's career, the Floridian said that he wasn't worried about losing his "0" to Garcia, or anyone else for that matter.

With Spence and Crawford looking unlikely to fight one another and Porter retiring,as sad as it sounds, it wouldn't be too far off if he did would it? That's what our beloved welterweight division has come to,pathetic....

A win definitely makes Barrios an interesting fighter at 47, we don't need a Thurman, he's exactly what's wrong with this weak division. Jake Paul making all the money because these clowns don't fight. Lol seriously this mfer wasted his prime. FOH

Everybody always hatin' on Thurman. Because he hasn't fought much over the last several years? I personally wish he'd been a lot more active. But injuries are real. People's lives outside of their occupation are real. When he does fight, his fights are exciting. Welcome back, Keith! I hope you can get back to form because there are a lot of exciting fights still to be made at 147. That all being said, I'm still not paying to watch this fight. It should be on regular Fox Sports.

Haha gotta love the fluff piece on boxingscene. Barrios was hand-picked for tank to KO and he came up from 130 lbs. that was a devastating knock out too, he took a lot of punishment in that fight. Now he gonna go up a division and knock off thurman? Rightttt. Like stop.barrios has never beat anyone.he won a vacant title at 140 he didn’t fight even 1 good fighter except davis. He won’t get knocked out in the 1st round but keef should win by decision or stoppage

And that wasn't even a real title that Barrios won.

I agree, the best result would be for barrios to win. Atleast he will try to capatalise on the win.

Canelo has highlighted fighters doing the bare minimum in terms of fighting once a year, I hope Barrios steps up and gets the win, I think he gets this close on points.

Damn, Barrios is "only" a 3-1 underdog. I wonder if the bookies are more down on Keith or more up on Barrios?

B-level average power Barrios…be blessed Mario - if u were not Hispanic no way you get this lame mismatch ppv main event against Hold and Run-Time Thurman. Haymon gotta have that average Hispanic fighter opposite his Big name black fighters or the fight wont sell at all!
