Why is GGG still in fighters' mouths???

Chris Eubank Jr recently mentioned that GGG is number 1 on his list.
Jaime Munguia team has expressed interest in fighting him not to mention Canelo for a trilogy.
    The list goes on.

My question is, Why do these guys want to fight him?

He has been out the ring for VERY LONG, he is hitting 40 years old if not older. He is WAY out of his prime etc.

I definitely respect what GGG has done in the ring, but I humbly think he loses against the champs in his respective division.

    Your thoughts.

Because he's an old champion with a decent name. It's the way the business works. Way different than when he was in his prime and was not well known.

he’s being allowed to fight bums without the criticism that other fighters who use the “ fight bums until big money fight” strategy get.

        Good point.
I kind of thought that but I think at this point, his name has died down even more.

I mean, he fought Canelo twice which was quite a thing to do career-wise along with Dereyavchenko (however the name is spelt).
          But I understand your point.

Because he's still ranked by many as the #1 guy at middleweight and has the biggest profile in the division. Fighters should want to fight him.

              I feel you.
But how long should they wait? The guy hasn't fought in 2 years! LOL.

And if they wait longer, it only will jeopardize GGG, the guy is getting old for the sport.

Yes, they should be fighting each other instead

If he chooses to hang around then fair play to them. He's obviously not as dangerous as he once was, but getting in the ring with him even at his age is invaluable experience.

He is so old that is not perceived as a threat anymore, but he is still a big name. And a world champion still even if I don't agree that he beat Deveryanchenko.
