The saddest part of his response to the criticism is he actually believes the **** coming out of his mouth lol. Just another PBC muppet trying to justify all these unwarranted ppvs.

75 dollars isn't a problem if the fight is worth it but this card has a dull undercard and a fight like this 5 years ago would of been on somewhere like HBO after dark . Pbc fox/showtime just take the piss out the fans with there Davis-cruz ppv. Then paul-woodley ppv. And then martin-ortiz ppv. Now Thurman-barrios ppv.

The American people know their boxing and will dictate the PPV figures

If Thurman doesn't KO Barrios in the first half, he should retire.

          Same goes for Santa Cruz.
Lol 75 bucks for Once Upon a Time vs a No Name.

          no thanks

Putting this fight on PPV was a dumb move. Thurman hardly fights. His last fight was pre pandemic....and he lost against Pacquiao. Thurman's smartest move would've been to fight on a major sports network like SHO to show his relevancy. Showing that he still belonged would generate interest in fans to want to invest in a future PPV fight that could involve a Thurman in a Main Event. However, who currently, is going to pay to watch Thurman? Not me.

And don't get me wrong, his opponent is a very good opponent in Barrios. Barrios was undefeated when he gave Tank Davis a legitimate run for his money. But even Barrios is still a question mark. Barrios was a relatively unknown boxer before Davis. He also needs a platform to gain more exposure. A PPV platform just isn't the best option for two question mark opponents, sorry. Terrible call!

I keep seeing this with these PBC PPV's recently. These fighters are spending more time trying to the defend the price point than talking about the actual fight.

Him talking about inviting friends over and making them give you $10 is one of the funniest things I’ve read in a while from a boxer haha

A guy coming off a loss and 2 years inactivity vs a guy who is moving up in weight and is coming off a KO loss.

                    Put that on PPV lol.

Thurman is only trying to promote his fight, a thing which lots of boxers are not capable or willing to do. At the same time his comment about "inviting your friends over" etc. was asinine ; what about the chance that one of his friends would bring COVID on his clothes?? Pretty good I think. Considering that he'd just been talking about the fear of catching COVID was keeping crowds away from attending fights.

His remark about the cost of living is very accurate, and here in Canada it's even worse, because we have a half-wit as Premier. There was a protest the other day of over 70.000 HUGE long-distance trucks going all the way across the country to Ottawa to protest, and conveniently Trudeau "vanished" having just caught COVID....Hmmm....!!

Of course it's the same for the US, you guys also have a very dim bulb "leading" the nation. .I recall the US "election" coverage where we'd see 50-60,000 turn up for Trump, and more thousands backing for miles, that couldn't get in. And then we'd see *****'s "crowd"...Actually we wouldn't see it, maybe only 8-10 people, and on at least one occasion I saw the huge election truck with the *****-Harris name plastered all over it, but not a single attendee., except a couple of cameramen and a cyclist riding by in the background..
