When Floyds points out that Pac is not his own Boss....

I don't think he is crapping on Pac or even Cotto actually. I think the reason he continues to say that is he hates Arum and sending a message to those guys that they could do better without Arum. He said Cotto needs to become his own boss. Basically if you read between the lines he is sying get rid of Arum. Mayweather sounds petty when he says Pac has the worst deal in boxing, but then I thought about it. Mayweather most likely had a similar deal if not worse when he was with Arum. I think he is trying to point out the grass is greener outside of top rank. That way he helps stick it Arum and if he ends up fighting either of those guys he know Arum won't make any money off him. Not all fighters do well without having the backing of a promoter though so its very risky thing to consider. Does anyone else see this as his motive or is he just plain talking **** for no reason? discusss.

he is obviously taking shots at Arum and Arum does the same things to him. That why I believe he comes out and discussing Manny contract situation in the media like that. I think he saw what happened with Oscar and Arum and he felt that Arum was trying to mess him over so he got away. Now, I think that he is sending that same message to get away to both Manny and Cotto.

It will be a MIRACLE is Floyd and Arum do business anytime soon. BUT FOR THE SAKE OF BOXING, I HOPE THAT CAN!

Knowing that he was with top rank and he has continuously bashed them since he left, I think he's being for real with this one. That's why he and Bob can't stand each other. I think he didn't like them when he was with them, and he hates them now. Another reason the Pacquiao fight won't happen.

What made me start to think he was sending Cotto in particular a message is when he said tht Arum was trying to punish him for speaking up by giving a high risk low reward fight in Clottey. he is trying to get Arum's top dogs to bounce on top rank.

For a man with that avatar, I expected you to know the difference between a pimp and a ho.

GBP or LE don't tell Floyd who to fight.
On the flipside, what are Miguel Cotto's famous words? "I fight who my compoany tells me to fight".

These guys need to realize that promoters work for them. They don't work for promoters.

Floyd could fire Ellerbe today if he wanted. He pays Golden boy to do work for him. He is not a stable fighter for GBP or Ellerbe. If someone wants off Top rank you have to get the lawyers and be willing buy out like Floyd did. There is a difference.

Sure, because of mayweather promotions which is not even a licensed boxing promoter in vegas.

We get it that you don't like him. The point was that he is not in a promoters stable and has more control of his career than he would if he were. His situation is not like Oscar's where he calls most of the shots under a huge promotional banner but I think even you would have to admit Mayweather has done better post Top Rank. Again I get you don't like the guy but that doesn't mean we can't have reasonable conversations that pertain to the guy.
