The analogy was obviously over your head as you had no basic understanding of it. This isn’t Communism comrade. This is a free market system. Lol you seen what the “UFC champ” is making? Can’t pay his bills? Here, I’ll do the research for you.

“According to International Business Times, there are three salary tiers that a UFC fighter can fall into: low, medium, and high, with the lowest earners taking home between $10,000 and $30,000, and the highest tier raking in between $500,000 and $3,000,000 per fight.”

You’re going to whine to me about paying bills on per fight salaries like this? Did anyone hold a gun to a fighter’s head during a contract signing that was probably revised by both party’s attorneys? Some of you folks truly need to settle down, do just a little bit of research and learn basic contractual law and economics.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t make a little more. They can. However, to bag Dana and the company is short sighted. There’s no successful company in existence whose CEO and parent company make less than the workers. The CEO and parent company assumes all the financial risk and employs those that wish to WILLINGLY work for it.

I grow weary of anyone that complains about what they are making. Don’t like it? Assume that risk and go start your own business venture. put forth the capital necessary that would require start up, go out to banks and take out those small business loans to make payroll, run light along the margins for years until your product takes off (if it ever does) and then bask in your success.

Folks think it’s so easy for a business venture to grab root. Boxing is just as bad and shady. Most boxers live in poverty until they kiss the right a s s to get noticed and picked up then have to win fights to move up before they ever realize their payday if they ever do and MOST either quit or die poor. Think you can do better (not you but the complaining fighters) belly up to the bar, pool your money together, work your a s s off to advertise your product, grab investors , start your own outfit and pay your fighters what you believe they are worth. But don’t go on b I t c hing incessantly about a position you placed yourself into knowing full well the risk. You signed the mother effin contract now deal with it like a big boy, pull up your big boy pants and get to work!

Dana White is not a promoter. He is the President of the organization whom all these fighters fight under. In other words the CEO. No, the venue would get paid however for hosting the show as they own the venue one is wishing to perform within. A person who signed a contract within a company they CHOOSE to VOLUNTARILY do business with is apples to oranges compared to the owner of a venue hosting a concert. But since you wish to bring up singers, most work for labels that make more off the singer’s album than they do. How did that happen? Under contract because the company who signs the singers assumes all the financial risk and as a result takes in the lions share of the reward. Most business owners lose their a s s e s off until the product goes mature and catches hold. Most that start businesses never make it and it is because of this risk most will never try to start their own business. Just like the fighter’s whining over their contract. Again, don’t like it? Hire an attorney and renegotiate your contract, retire from the organization, or upon contract expiration go start your own outfit if you wish to make the money a CEO is making.

Posts like this are why I will never be an mma fan.

For all of boxing's problems at least our sport recognizes who is actually taking the risks on fight night, and who actually sells the tickets. Boxing is defined by the quality of its fighters and the quality of their fights. We support our guys and want to see them get paid.

UFC fans just want to see people fight each other for their entertainment, they don't care about the guys doing the fighting and actually get mad if anyone treats those fighters like human beings. They throw even their champions into the garbage at a moment's notice if they think the champ isn't bowing and scraping enough, and move on to another interchangeable "championship" fight with the UFC brand on it.

I never want to hear that **** about how "the UFC is a real sport because the guys fight each other" from anybody like the guy I'm quoting. MMA may be a sport but the UFC is just an assembly line of identically promoted matches churning through an endless line of expendable nobodies. This is the "sport" they want.

**** the UFC for treating prizefights like a McDonalds hamburger to be made as cheaply and bland as possible, with no regard for who gets ground up for meat. **** their fans for valuing the quantity of guys they see hurting each other above anything else. And **** Dana White for being a ****ty guy who treats the people risking their lives for him like garbage.

Boxers get treated better? You kidding? Most boxers live in poverty and die broke if they choose to stay in boxing. You’re only citing boxers who have made it. Of course those that make it make millions. Same with the UFC they are millionaires. I’m sorry but I’m not going to cry over a millionaire who without the UFC would be working elsewhere making a quarter of what they’ve made. As I’ve posted, in the UFC you can be a lower tier fighter, fight 4 times a year and make a nice living even with losses. Try to be a boxer (very few exceptions) with multiple losses and live outside of poverty. Go out and do some research on those boxers outside the top tier and what they make. You seem to believe boxers are treated so so well. Most would make more working an assembly line.
