I really Dislike Nacho Beristain

If Freddie Roach's fighter did not have natural speed and power(two things that cannot be taught), his fighter would have walked out with 2 losses against you know who. ****m Richardson trains 2 veteran fighters that cant learn anything new and he gets hype when they win, he has never shaped a fighter. Nacho is producing much more at the moment than Steward is. Birmingham? are you serious? hes trained 1 world class fighter in the past 2 years, Winky to a loss.

I was reading your posts through out this thread and on one of them you said you are not discrediting his accomplishments.

How can he be overrated as a trainer, if he's sculpting fighters from the amateurs to pro championships? The man is even taking someone like Vincente Escobedo with no elite talent to titles.

Daniel Zaragoza, Humberto Gonzalez, Ricardo Lopez, and Juan Manuel & Rafael Marquez. No other trainer has trained 5 fighters as good or better from the beginning to end like Nacho. As far as technique goes, Beristain trained fighters are some of the best and most efficient. Have you ever seen Ricardo Lopez' technique? Do you see how the Marquez bros. handle southpaws? Nacho's training credentials can't be questioned.

Your #1 guy/Trainer/Manager/Mentor doesn't feel its important to be by your side in the biggest fight of both of your professional career is a bad decision.

But he is going to be there you tool. He's got other fighters that he needs to take care of too you know and that shows that, unlike some other trainers ie. Roach etc, he won't leave his lesser paying fighters in the lurch just because one fighter is getting way more money for a fight. You do realise that it is only for a couple of days and he will be there well before the fight day and weigh in?

As for those guys being better than Beristain, how many of them have trained as good a fighters from the very beginning (instead of half of them only getting their best fighters most of the way through their career already) as Humberto Gonzalez, Ricardo Lopez, Zaragoza, Marquez bro's, Gilberto Roman, Melchor Cob Castro, etc all of whom either are HOF'ers or will be soon, plus some of the best young prospects in the game today in Abner Mares and Vincente Escobedo (and that is just a very few among the many other champions he has trained).

I can't even figure out where you are getting all this "He's a ****y prick" etc etc from anyway? How many other trainers will straight up admit that his fighter is looking terrible in training? Very few would ever do that. But, he doesn't care about the BS of politics and unlike a Mayweather who will rant and rave about his fighter being the best and the only way he will ever be good is if he is with him is crap! FM Sr, bagged him recently about his training of Oscar and said that if Oscar was with him he never would lost, yet he goes on to train Hatton who gets completely drilled in the second round, and he ****s on Beristain? But, I think that's one of the great things about him. He will admit and actually say how his fighter is going. If he is not looking good instead of talking ****e and saying he's going brilliantly, he will say "No, he isn't fast enough yet" etc etc. It's good.

Some fighters are simply past it, and Oscar was about as past it as you can be for a fighter. No one could have made him win that fight.

Even though I agree, Escobedo hasn't won his title yet. Nonetheless, that's very true. He really does make fighters technically about as close to perfect as you could be. Just check out how good Gonzalez became over the course of his career. He came out of the amateurs with good skills, but mainly a power puncher and slowly developed into one of the most perfect boxer/punchers you're likely to see.

If ever you wanted to show tapes to a young boxer of the perfect fighter, you would show him tapes of Beristain's guys.

sorry thread poster but Oscar weight drained himself when he decided to sign the contract and agree to come into the fight no more than a pound over 147, which is ****** because when Oscar was a prime welterweight he'd come in on fight night at about 155 or higher

The most overrated trainer in the sport IMO. This cat had Oscar weight drained he talks ****in Spanish to a classy freddie and to top it off he comes off like a ****y son of a *****. His meal ticket jmm is going in on his biggest fight of his life and he comes off talkin about I don't need to feed him. Bernstien is the same idiot that sent jmm to Indonesia instead of rematching paquiao. Bernstein is probably that dumb ass that made jmm think drinking his own piss is cool. Nacho bernstien looks like he is always constipated becausehetalks out of his ass. Jmm is the man because of will n determination n he fails in out of the ring smarts. Yep he got a nice car, Cuban cigars, willing Mexican boxers that are dedicated.....but he is still a bad advisor just look at his track record.

You can dispute the Most Overrated Trained in the Sport IMO but what else can you really dispute.
