If deep down he knows he aint got the tools to beat Usyk, then the rest of his career becomes about money rather then legacy... in which case he takes the step aside with the guarantee of fighting the winner... gets potentially £15mil for free, fights a mediocre opponent whilst waiting.. and then gets that mega payday with Fury... but for a smaller piece of the pie then 1st agreed on. Probably a 60/40. Fighting Wilder is just far too dangerous and detrimental to his career as I believe Wilder sparks everyone in the division bar fury & Usyk.

What is this journalism? - Joshua actually confirmed the rumors. He just said he hasn't signed the contract (yet). He didn't deny a thing about the article or the deal.

He's just waiting for an official contract the outlines the step aide terms is what I gathered for all the BS he spewed. He is pretty much done mentally at this point. He doesn't have the self belief he 'll beat Usyk and notice he didn't even say anything about the fight or the opponent. His promoter pretty much alluded not seeing an official step aside terms. They are desperately looking to step aside 'cos if he loses to Usyk again, he is pretty much done.

Why does their need to be a fury fight? He’s nowhere as good as his die hard fans wanted the world to think

If you really believed that you wouldn’t have run away again from the bet I offered you , you know the one where you once again stick your foot in your mouth ?

There doesn’t need to be a fury it’s just Aj has always wanted that fight for UK bragging rights, I would like to see wilder and Aj even though it has lost some appeal.

Eddie is paying Whyte way too much attention and AJ is having coniptions. AJ is used to the spotlight, but he lost more than just a fight. Usyk and Ruiz knocked the shine off his star.

Also, Usyk’s manager said in an interview today they’re negotiating a Fury fight and expect to have confirmation on things in early Feb. He said it’s still about 50-50 that it happens but I think it all seems to be heading that way
