He knows he doesn't have good boxing skills so by keeping the jab going he usually keeps people away from him. It has worked well so far but I don't see him being able to pull that on anyone with size or real boxing skills. I could see him beating John Ruiz.
Beating Ruiz would be the easest, he could just hung over him while one of the huggs. I bet Ruiz is not as tough to stand with Valuev's weight for more than 2 rounds - the sugar lewel would be gone much faster than Wlads.

Vitali would straight up mug Valuev of any championship hopes as well.
How exactly does being "ape looking" make you an average heavyweight?

It might be a measure of Ring intelligence:

when you are below normal intelligence as a human.

and since when is driving a Torino cool?

A man in your avatar is not a very human looking guy but I bet he has enough inteligence to know how to put his knife into your ribbs.
The same may be with Valuev.

anyone with the least amount of boxing skills could outbox michael myers.

and Myers is of normal intelligence.

he is just a "Catatonic Schizophrenic".

Right now Valuev is a sideshow and he will remain a sideshow until he fights a top 10 fighter.

However the rankings look at wins more than level of opposition, so being 40-0 is starting to put him on the radar of the sactioning bodies.

I am not going to say that he is the best boxer ever, but at 7'1 and 300+ pounds, he can box well enough to beat your C level fighters. He beat Levin, who is probably better than a C level and there are quite a few B level guys that he could hold his own against. It will take any fighter at least two rounds to figure out his style and get used to the size, but at the end of the day, byrd and Toney both win all 12 rounds.

Valuev is the only Russian who was included in 15 Wolrd Heavyweight Rating Boxers

I'm not surprised, most of Russian's HW is busy in Chechenya right now.

How about American tough guys who are busy in Iraq?
