    Is Valuev really THAT bad?

Just watched round 3 of Valuev vs. Levin (thanks to jpboxer3). IMHO I don't think Valuev is slow, to me he looked much faster than Vitaliy Klichko, although I think Klichko hits much harder. I know that everybody says that Valuev is going to suck against top 10 but who can tell for sure until he actually fights someone from top 10? What do you guys think?

I think Jameel "Big Time" Mcline would knock him out in the first round. He is slow, uncoordinated, and ape looking. Those three tend to make you an "average" heavyweight. Mcline's odd punching style and strange sounds would give Valuev problems in the ring.

Vitali would straight up mug Valuev of any championship hopes as well.

The last round of his last fight is in downloads section. He mainly fights in Germany, I read he is becoming very popular over there.

I've seen his fight. He was slow but when he start throwing punches the only way to survive was to run away. I hardly see anybody who will go toe to toe with him. There should be somebody who is slick enought to avoid his punches and have enough power to KO him (Vitali for sure, maybe Golota if don't quit early, maybe Sanders). I think KO him early is one of the ways to win - he don't need to punch a lot so he can be able to posses the power and stamina to later rounds and then finish the job.

Valuev reminds me of the way a bear looks when it mauls its prey...it slowly swipes in the general direction of whatever it wants to kill and once in a while something connects.

Nah i dont think he is as bad as most people say he is.

Besides how skilled do you need to be at that size.

He should fight tyson that would be such a laugh.

That a good description of him. The problem is that with each fight he throws more in target and connects more often - this means he is increasing his skills and become more dangerours. If there is a time to break his carrier then the sooner the better.

The other question, which option would be most interesting for you regarding undisputed HW champion: the most skillest and slappest (Byrd), most powerfull and unskillest (Valuev), most tricky and dirty (Ruiz), most robotic (VK), most mentaly unstable and unlucky (Golota)?

I've seen him fight a few times. Valuev reminds me of a Euro version of Goofi Whitaker, real big and strong, not that fast, but can turn out the lights if he lands flush.

I think he is a lot like a 300 pound Vassily Jeriov. (I know I didn't spell it right, I"m american).

He throws a huge volume of punches, and doesn't get tired because none of them are power punches.
He knows he doesn't have good boxing skills so by keeping the jab going he usually keeps people away from him. It has worked well so far but I don't see him being able to pull that on anyone with size or real boxing skills. I could see him beating John Ruiz.
