Canelo Alvarez vs Roy Jones Jr at 168

Canelo’s era has to do random blood and urine up to 2 months out.
Roy’s era, pee in a cup after the fight. How practical…
Prime Canelo destroys Roy.
we don’t know how Roy performs with elite VADA testing. The last time Roy did such testing was in his Olympics, and back then EPO wasn’t even in a thing nor other advanced tracing like today.Comment

Roy looked flashy against mediocre competition.
I just never bet against Canelo. If I’m ******** I’m not touching this fight.Comment

If RJJ stayed at 168 his whole career we would be talking about him as the greatest fighter to ever live, surpassing Ray Robinson in stature. His demise was fluctuating in weight, going up and down between classes. He had no challengers at 168, so he had to do what he had to do and find new ways to challenge himself.
With that being said, he would dominate Canelo with his agility, punching angles and speed. Canelo as great as he is, wouldn't be able to touch him. Roy wins by lopsided decision.Last edited by mromano; 01-22-2022, 09:36 AM.Comment

Canelo, easy call. Jones looks great against C/D/E guys, but even against B-Level Griffin in fight one, Griffin looked the much better boxer than the. "unbeatable prime Roy". Roy was like Mike Tyson. Overrated, overhyped, VERY well matched, then got found out and kept losing. If he wasn't American he'd be forgotten about now. Decent career, no more, no less, and just can't even be compared to the greatest Mexican of all time. Viva La Mexico. Viva La Canelo. Nash out.Comment

RJJ would spank Canelo Prime vs Prime. No questions asked. Roy was a damn phenom, he was too athletic for NeloComment
