What are James Toney's best performances?

I haven't seen enough of Toney...I only really know of his KO of Nunn back in the early 90's, his one sided loss to RJJ, and the fight with Jirov...

What are some good Toney fights? And do you think he's overrated?

And I do remember him beating old Evander as well...

His best performances, other than the fights you mentioned, are the Tim Littles fight and the Iran Barkley fight.

All 3 McCallum fights are pretty good too.

Watch the Barkley fight. Amazing performance. He'd make Calzaghe blush with his handspeed in that fight.

mike muccluam was a good test for him at middleweight.

he fought sam peter when sam was atuclly good.

sosa was a preety good win as well.

i think james toney wasn't overrated. but his lack of discipline and lost to roy jones is what make people think he's overrated

Roided up or not, I loved the way he handled Ruiz.

                  Completely disagree. Iran was outclassed.

Barkley and Littles were his most complete performances. The PCW fight was perhaps his best knockout, with the Littles KO right up there, as well as another at cruiserweight, though the opponent's name escapes me for the moment (Jason Robinson?).

The Jirov fight cemented his HOF credentials, and perhaps his last truly great performance. Some cite the Holyfield fight, but Evander was a shell of his former self at that point, whereas Jirov was at his best and no worse than the second best cruiserweight in the world. Incredible two-way fight, and even better finish for Toney.
