Why complain about pay in UFC? Just join pro boxing

Francis Ngannou has stated that he will not fight in the UFC for $500k salary anymore. He has expressed disappointment in his pay several times now. He has even called out Tyson Fury in an obvious attempt a big payday.

‘I will not fight for $500,000 anymore’: Francis Ngannou demands new UFC deal amid pay dispute

“It’s over. I took this fight for personal reasons, because I want to make sure that regardless of [whether] it’s fair, I can make my case that I have completed the fights.”

Ngannou also stressed his desire to have a boxing clause in any new UFC contract.

“One hundred per cent, [I need to box],” he said. “We’ve been having discussions for years.

“It seems like they are okay with it. Let’s be honest, I do believe that whatever you are doing – whatever the event is – if the UFC is involved, it’s just going to make it bigger. There is no question.

“So, yes, if I box, I would like the UFC to be on board.

“Honestly, the only reason we are here is that at some point, there wasn’t good faith in this. I don’t understand why we can’t come to an agreement”

Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey were at one point selling PPV’s about as good as any pro boxer, and getting only $1-3 mill guaranteed. Highest selling UFC PPV’s of all time, getting a very tiny cut of it. Rhousey even had to whore her body out for magazines to make extra money. Conor had to be a big showman to attract Mayweather so that he can get a big payday.

What makes Ngannou think he is going to get paid handsomely when he is not even a top PPV seller?

If he 100% fully leaves UFC and joins PBC or TR, he will make the money he wants.

These UFC fighters should stop complaining about pay and just use their UFC fame to get a good payday in pro boxing.

Yeah, the skillset won't transfer. But it'd be good to see a load of UFC boys crying over it. It would take a career reset. Or a complete business remodelling. Dana White has the whole lot of them by the balls. Fury lickin' his chops at the prospect and startin' the craic already, big dough, big fun
