Kambosos Sends Out Cryptic, Vague Tweet – Only Uses Australian Flag

UPDATE: Rumors are that Hearn is trying to get Kambosos to fight Haney in the Middle East. The latest offer is to fight in the Middle East because of COVID concerns in Australia. George's tweet signifies that he has declined that offer.

Kambosos just tweeted out a cryptic, vague tweet that appears to state that he's going to be only fighting in Australia. This time, however, he only used the Australian flag, rather than also including the Ukrainian flag and/or US flag. Allusions to a completely Australian fight seem to be made by the undisputed lightweight champion. And that is another point that is noticed; the new lightweight champion is referring to himself as undisputed ("R.P E.K L.K S.K IBF, WBO, WBC Franchise, WBA & Ring Magazine UNDISPUTED Lightweight World Champion 20-0 10KO").

Haney's push for unification appears to be against what George already believes, that he is the unified UNDISPUTED lightweight champion. The odds that Haney gets to fight Kambosos next seems unlikely at this point. And the fight with Lomachenko seems to be unlikely as well, considering his latest tweet, which only mentions Australia. He appears to be dragging this on for too long, in my opinion. Signs are pointing to a fight in Australia with another Australian.

His next fight's going to be in a big stadium in Australia. Not hard to figure out

Maybe. But that's redundant. He's said that a hundred times. Maybe there's been pressure on him to fight in the US and he's holding fast to fighting in Australia. That could be the case.

I don't think Hearn or Haney (especially Haney) want to fight in Australia. I think that's a big bone of contention between the two parties, so if he's not giving in to any offers to fight in the US, then maybe he's saying that he's not going to fight Haney next.

I now have context for what the text means. Check out the "update" at the top of the thread.

Honestly I wouldn't want to go to Australia either right now, just look at the treatment they're giving Djokovic at the minute.

But still, Kambosos not only has the belts, he's riding high off one of the biggest results that any fighter's had lately and as such he's got all the negotiating power right now. Given that he's been on the road for a while leading up to his shock win it's not like you can say it's unfair for him to want to fight on home turf, at least for his next fight. If that means no Haney, I doubt it'll bother him that much, he's got other options. I don't even think he really needs to fight a top-draw opponent in his next fight to make good money, fighters with star appeal in Australia come along pretty infrequently so it's not like he's really got much competition for attention so long as he doesn't schedule to fight on the evening of a big NRL match or something.

                  - - Loma the only fight worth mentioning.

That said, why not warm up the Aussie nation with a defense vs one of their own?

                  Yeah!

I updated the post to give context. His tweet is a reaction to Hearn's latest offer to fight in the Middle East.
