Title says 3 week notice but Caballo had been in the gym and was in shape.
I like the kid, and he was willing to offer Adames a fight at 3 weeks, lets see a full camp from both. Adames just beat probably the best guy to not have a belt at 160. I think itd be a great fight imo, something that if Munguia wins, would be his coming out party at mw and would put a lot of guys on notice. But Bronco aint no punk either. May the best man winLast edited by El_Mero; 01-13-2022, 01:59 PM.Comment

Jaime Munguia still negotiating fight with Gennadiy Golovkin, will return in April otherwise
It’s been a while since the last update, but it looks like Gennadiy Golovkin vs Jaime Munguia is still on the table. Zanfer’s Fernando Beltran tells ESPN Knockout that “Munguia and his representatives are pushing hard” to stage the fight on Cinco de Mayo weekend, but that they have a backup plan to fight in April if negotiations fall flat...
That said, Munguia does have another path to a title should Golovkin decline. His time as WBO super welterweight champion earned him a spot atop their middleweight rankings, so once Demetrius Andrade faces Liam Williams, the winner will then have to meet Munguia. Still, that Golovkin matchup is mighty appealing, and a Cinco de Mayo double bill with Canelo-Saunders would be something special.

Munguia has been trying to get at GGG for years. Munguia doesn't want Charlo or Andrade, he wants GGG. This is from February 2021:

Yeah and the Corona and Murata derailed that fight. Golovkin would of unified and got Murata out the way then they would of set that up. That article literally means nothing considering golovkin didn't even fight last year. So it's not like he's disinterested in a munguai showdown.

He could've fought last year, that's the point! You do realize that many fighters fought last year? He waited for Murata by choice, and he's still waiting! I'm not saying he's ducking Munguia, just that he's not interested in that fight. Definitely not as much as Munguia and GBP are.
Murata is a title holder and brings in money. That simple. Next I'm sure it's Munguia. I'd be surprised if it's not unless the ibf forces another mandatoryComment
