In Thurman's defense, I feel the need to point out he's been sidelines by injuries multiple times.
And let me tell you, injuries suck. I'm 35 now. I tore my rotator cuff right around the start of the pandemic. It took nearly a year to get it all healed. In that time cardio, core, and legs was pretty much all I could do. Once I finished my last round of PT - full movement, no pain, I was okayed to get back in the gym. Go into the gym - nothin. No activation in my chest, shoulders, back. Atrophy to the max. Started working with a trainer to make sure I don't hurt myself again on the road back and, even with a trainer, got another injury anyway. Tennis elbow. Form was good, but because tiny muscles in my back broke down over time, my elbow was just a shock absorber.
So here we are nearly two years later, and I'm still not back.
So sorry for the life story there, but I say all the above to say when Thurman took a couple years to "get back".... man, I understand it.Last edited by paulf; 01-12-2022, 12:03 AM.Comment

Two fights in five years, if that doesn't kill your prime I don't know what. Also one of those was a L with a almost retired Pacquiao. I always thought that Keith was a great boxer, but that's the key "Was".Comment

Hopefully Keith is fully healed from the injuries and will be able to train and fight at 100% from here on out. Losing so many prime years sucks , at the same time, he doesn't have the wear and tear on him. I'm glad to see him back , he's an exciting fighter. The thing that annoys me about Thurman is how he refers to himself in the third person.Comment

All Barrios has to do is flat out pound the body for a few rounds and keef will fold like a piece of paper.
But for some reason, fighters usually don't target that OBVIOUS weakness of his. Even Manny missed the opportunity.Comment
