Exactly. For as good as Briedis is, and he's a top fighter, I had him and Usyk a draw, as did many others, he has not made anywhere near the money (not a prestigious division) that he should have, and would probably make more vs Paul, than he has in his entire career. Can't knock a man for trying to make some easy coin. He can destroy Jake, then back to training the following day, so won't be too disruptive for him imo. Nash out.

You beat me to it. It’s a total mockery isn’t it. On one hand it stains his rep. On the other hand people have already pointed it out, but he’s clearly fishing for the biggest payday of his life.

I just think a culture has cultivated over the years of boxers believing they should be paid a fortune regardless of opponent. It’s hurting the sport badly.

They need to understand what they’re real market worth is. If they don’t like it, I guess instead of being creative they decide to chase a Jake Paul payday.

He made more in his fourth fight than Sugar Ray Leonard did in his 26th fight when he beat Wilford Benitez. He is in third behind only AJ and Canelo in marketability. He literally has random boxing champions getting his named tattoo on themselves. The smoke in mirrors you speak of increased his net worth to top ten among all active boxers. Oh also he got some woman's champion that no one cares about to become a millionaire, because he could. I don't like the Paul brothers at all, but their gimmick is working.
