Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Arthur Abraham at MW in 2007.

What if after beating ODLH, Floyd moved up to MW to fight Abraham for a title?

I think Floyd would have a good chance of winning here. Abraham wasn't a particularly big MW, and he was slow.

Floyd should have fought Martinez in 2014. Martinez was shot to pieces at that point, would have added the lineal middleweight title to Floyd’s collection. One of the few missed opportunities in his career.

Sergio just got done looking bad with a hometown decision over Murray

          That goes against Floyd’s MO

Floyd would get guys who just looked amazing in their most recent match

Could Floyd even weigh 160? That's the real question.

I don't think he can. Certainly not at top form. Because the dude couldn't even weigh 154 when he fought 154. Came in under for De La Hoya, so even if people want to pull the "cw" card. He fought 154 against Oscar without being max limit.

Style wise though. Abraham has nothing to effect Floyd. Style vs Style. Abraham just gets out boxed, doesn't even have a reach advantage so he'd get beat the punch more times than not.

Nah I don’t think it goes against him at all, it literally resurged Cotto’s career for example. If Floyd who turned pro at 130 beat the lineal champion at 160 it would have been a huge feather in his cap. Martinez opened as a considerable favourite over Cotto too, people didn’t realise how far he’d declined until that first round.

That's a better fight than the Abraham one.

I think style wise, that probably presents more issues for Floyd than anything else. Even Canelo.

On one hand, I can see Sergio being too predictable for Floyd and Floyd comfortably going skill vs skill against him.

But on the other hand, Sergio is light on his feet. Has Floyd ever fought anyone that was an outside boxer? Quick feet with quick hands on top of that?

I can't think of anyone on his resume off the top of my head like that.

Yep would been great chess match

The part of Floyd’s career I dislike how he only took one fight in 2011

according to roach Sergio was the fighter most similar to manny

so a bigger manny with additional range

Shane and Manny, but Floyd made sure to duck those guys until they were shopworn.
