In all fairness, where was Shane was Floyd was chasing him for years? Shane has ignored multiple fight offers from Floyd. Including a televised refusal.

SM is so interested in the fight now because he is 38, and jin just left with half.

There's more to it though. Its no secret Shane was put on the sidelines in order for Oscar to get a fight with Floyd. So, of course Floyd will says Shane ducked me, but you can't also expect for Shane to say, "Well Oscar is getting him 1st". I don't think Shane was ever afraid to fight Floyd, he's simply not going to hurdle over his Boss.

If and when Floyd beats Marquez and Pacquiao loses, he'll fight Shane instead of Cotto (1st at least). The Mayweather camp will take that fight.

Floyd's in great shape man, the layoff was what...a year and a half? Sugar Ray was off even longer and came back to fight Hagler...AND WON!
