Comments Thread For: Kiko Martinez-Josh Warrington Rematch Set For March 26 At First Direct Arena In Leeds

Kiko Martinez and Josh Warrington will meet in a rematch, just not in a way most boxing fans would've envisioned. BoxingScene.com has confirmed Martinez will defend the IBF featherweight title Warrington once owned against the former champion March 26 in Warrington's hometown of Leeds, England. DAZN and Matchroom Boxing are expected to announce Martinez-Warrington II on Friday as one of eight headliners that the streaming service will offer during the months of February and March.

I think everyone knew a rubber match with Lara wouldn’t get rescheduled.

This is a good fight for Josh though, if he regains the IBF belt his career has direction again. His time under the Matchroom banner has been a complete disaster so far.

Kiko drilling Galahad silly appears to be a fortuitous event for Warrington, provided he can defeat the plucky Spaniard again.

Lol how is everyone ok with this fight Warrington got blasted out and then headbutt his way into a TD with his usual style now he's in line for a title shot without even picking up another victory? And in his hometown at that bull**** fight Kiko deserves a homecoming fight after he got screwed against Barrett and then had to go into hostile territory again to claim his belt.

Pretty good scenario in my opinion.

Either Kiko gets revenge and blasts out Warrington, ridding boxing of yet another entitled, spoiled, paper titlist british fighter who literally lost twice and ducked the guy who beat him straight to an undeserving title shot.

                or

Kiko loses again and then Luis Alberto Lopez gets to finish the job Lara started and sand down what remains of Warrington and keeps yet another belt away from another cherrypicking brit joke.

                or

Vacates the belt yet again and runs away from Lara.

                or

Keeps the belt and defends against Lara and gets dusted into sawdust.

Either way, amusing stuff to come for the average brit bash watching enthusiast.

I knew this douchebag would sidestep Lara and never get in the ring with him again. In the two rounds the rematch lasted Lara began to crack him hard. Would have been another brutal KO for sure
