Lol at anyone thinking Ward beats Kessler

i have no idea what you all were watching sat. night. kessler looked garbage in there. kessler is ridiculously slow, and has mediocre defense. ward didnt look great bc he fought someone that didnt want to fight to begin with,(ala. when bernard hopkins fought Morrade Hakkar in 2003. Hakkar was the Number one contender, but his skill ******.)

im picking dirrell to beat both and beat froch. dirrell is the future.

I like Kessler, and i thought the tourny was gonna be between him and AA, but I thought he looked like pure ****. I watched it about an hour ago was very disappointed in his performance. Hopefully it was just a case of ring rust, and he did look better once he upped the tempo a bit, but he floored the guy by hitting him on the shoulder in the 3rd (well thats what it looked like on youtube), and for the stoppage it was Calzaghe Manfredo in disguise. He only hit him once (after he stunned him with a good right), from 3 inches with his left and the rest of the punches missed or were blocked.

Havent watched the Ward fight yet.

The stoppage wasn't that bad. Perdomo fell to the floor when the fight was over and had to sit on his stool for minutes before he could rise. Maybe the ref could have given him a further 5 seconds, but that's academic.

Odd saying that Mikkel looked like ****. I thought he was slightly rusty and also surprised. Surprised that Perdomo came out guns blazing. Then Kessler adjusted to his opponent and moved half a step closer and then that big right hand began landing.

So for me it's not so good that his timing was off in the beginning and that he was so easy to hit to the body. Cudos is given for his adjustments and power. Kessler might punch harder now than at any point before in his career. Even the jabs was more like straight left powershots.

I doubt he will focus so much on power when facing Ward.

Its wonder how he got invited to the tourney then....(sarcasm).

To be honest...Ward has the potential to be the next big thing in boxing...he's at the Jermain Taylor cross-roads right now.....if he can get past Kessler...(I think he can get a UD on him) then he'll be at the top of the SMW mountain....even if he doesn't win the tourney.

He was fighting a true tomato can and it took him three rounds and millions punches to take him out. Kessler is going to murder this guy, he'll walk right through his punches and knock his ass out. At least Perdomo was a decent opponent compared to Pudwill and look at what Kessler did to him. Ward got a ****ed up pick, bad way for him to start the tournament.

What does that have to do with him fighting Kessler????

It's okay that Kessler looked like ****, he hadn't fought in nearly a year. But to say Ward has no chance? Come on now.

Ward will not be as easy to hit and Kessler WILL be as easy to hit as he was on Saturday.

I'll never say that Ward hasn't got a chance. Of course he has. He is a very talented fighter and I'm pretty sure this will be a very good if not great fight. Perhaps the best in the first round.

I think this fight is compareble to Kessler's fight with Mundine but I expect Ward to have more guts.
