That wasnt the problem here. Teo blew through his finances and couldn't afford a nutritionist, assistant trainer or even a competent cut man for ***sake. Teo has no one to blame but himself or Dad. Where was this sympathy for Loma?? What goes around, comes around and they got theirs tenfold.

Now he can move up,where he's not going to have the physical advantages he had at 135,and get humbled there as well. "The Takeover".....is over.

And only after the loss, the excuses came in. It's all smoke and mirrors.

Now the Loma rematch spectre is off his shoulders. He won't have to face Kambo again. We don't have to hear about his throat anymore (tho perhaps it'll be kept in reserve until his next loss). It's as clean of a slate as he'll get.

At this point, I'll like to see how he'll handle 140.

If he fights, will it be a tune up or a real opponent?

Making weight should be the least of Lopez's problems. He was exposed in his loss against Kambosos. He needs to upgrade his corner/trainer. His father/training/coaching team proved to be lacking and incapable of helping him get to the next level - which is the level that can enable him to defeat the more elite fighters he'll have to face going forward in his career.

It finally caught up to Teofimo! I have the same concerns for Tank, Errol Spence Jr., Jermell Charlo, and David Benavidez!!!

Lopez is a mental midget, and now with the questions about his actual place in boxing he’s gonna be melting down in the lead up to fights as he doesn’t like having his skills questioned. Best thing arum can do is get the guy a sports psychiatrist and set him up with manny Robles.

Squeezing to make a weight so that you can have a size advantage, not an admirable thing, but most do it.

Only heavyweights walk around in the range of weight they fight in.

Teofimo listening to his dad could ruin his career. Great athlete fighter etc. but health is #1. With good mgmt. trainer etc. Teofimo is still up there.

Hypocritical Bob wanted him and Loma to rematch @ 135, even though he know Teo was killing himself to fight Loma the first time!
Totally agreed pal. All good points.

Unless Taylor relinquishes or is stripped of any of his belts, Lopez won't be winning any major titles at 140. One day in the not too distant future he'll regret not granting Loma a rematch. Meanwhile, Lopez will need to focus on other money fights at 140, perhaps against Tank if he's willing to fight, or Ramirez.
