Nietes Outlasts Vargas For Split Decision Win

The fight was mediocre at best, Vargas was the power puncher while Neites was more accurate than the two. Imo Vargas didn't do enough the seize the title from Neites. Though the score should have been close.

I had it 116-112 Nietes, and expected maybe a majority decision.

Marquez is an idiot, though I can see why he scores fights the way he does. Nietes landed clean shots throughout the 12th, Vargas doing nothing but absorbing and Marquez comments "These punches aren't doing anything" in giving the round to Vargas!

I don't know where 116-110 came from and 118-110 was absurd - though just as much as Marquez having Vargas up 117-111.

Credit to Top Rank for doing their own shows, but can we get announcers who aren't 100% on the payroll?
