It's not what you think, the American media just fanboys for Canelo and refuses to ask even the most basic questions that any journalist of integrity would. It's pathetic, it'd disgraceful, it's fanboyism. They all suck canelo's d*** 24/7. Now in Mexico they have real boxing fans and boxing media where they don't fall for Canelo's bull****, ask the hard questions, press him on things like his PED use and why he's avoided Demetrius Andrade.

So you are salty because the media, who know what they are talking about, credit a Mexican when they should only really focus on Americans as it is the centre of the universe? That's what you are saying?

      Like I said, American? TICK.

Being his own boss was the best thing for his career. When your putting asses in the seats and bringing in the money you can create a bidding war and cash out.
        He’s always got multiple options.

            Take on all mandatory challengers.

sooner or later you run against a real challenge.

none of this pick weak champions in different divisions just for sensationalism

it’s what sugar ray Leonard would do (Donny lalonde etc)

This is because they want to make every fight a PPV fight. So they gotta pull all sorts of gimmicks.

but I’ll Always appreciate fighters like duran, hagler, monzon, Hopkins etc for facing everyone in their division instead of just 3/4 people and then like yep I’m out to face “champions” only which is such an underwhelming thing in today’s world.

they have way to many of those titles to hand out. There’s multiple routes to a title. And clearly skill differences from champion to champion.

If he stays in his division, sooner or later he’s gonna find someone who’s gonna push him like no other.

but the way he quickly rose in weight from middleweight to supper middle then light heavyweight then possibly cruiser weight is seriously a sensationalism thing. Because I don’t think it’ll be “weight” to beat Alvarez. It’ll be skill. And makabu is just another Donny Lalonde or margarito vs pacquiao type of fight. And ppl will eat it up. But whatever.

unless your division is dog sht and the division above is where the real contenders are at (like light heavyweight)

but Alvarez already gone too high. He should’nt go to that division now or be expected too. But when you jump a division to cruiserweight then don’t be upset if fans call for beterbiev

just wow... I guess you must be the latest hater-idiot to join our illustrious site LMAO

            1) SRL was a straight-up killer, who BEAT the guys that you said you appreciate... so, just how ****** are you?

            2) Duran/Hopkins fought in multiple divisions over the course of their career... and Monzon would have likely ended up at LHW

            3) he will fight Beterbiev, most likely this year... that is clearly obvious

just another shlt-talking idiot who DKSAB

as usual... this thread is FULL of ignorant shltheads who bash Canelo, while supporting total hypejobs like Golovkin

they will insist that Golovkin is a better fighter, as they criticize Canelo's accomplishments... despite the fact that Hypekin was too timid to attempt what Canelo achieved, and would have fallen way short

Plant would have beaten Hypekin, and so would Saunders... even Smith would have given him hell... no way Hypekin wins those 3 fights, he is too scared to fight the champions in his own division

No it's because the American media are dishonest and lie. The Mexican media is much more professional.

Great year, great career. Not as great a resume as the great Benavides, Charlo, and Andrade after all they’ve demolished so many great fighters between the 3 that Canelo is terrified to fight them

Was this the least impressive road to undisputed ever? Probably not but it's up there.
