maybe if some bum picks up a title somehow like charles martin did then he might move up. same story with canelo though, he'll pick and choose what division hes in depending if there is a vulnerable fighter there or not. people have got to stop talking like hes superman, the last guy he fought against with a bit of skill (jacobs) he sc****d past by a round and looked horrible. hes not this ATG level talent people keep talking about, its just his matchmaking has been excellent lately

Haters would be on suicide watch if that happens.

Against someone like Trevor Bryan for the regular WBA title. But no chance in hell against Usyk,Fury,Joshua.

Well Trevor Bryan is regular WBA title holder. I guess Sanchez meant him as opponent.

Canelo is the most overrated fighter of this past decade.

Then Canelo should have no problem fighting Benavidez at super middleweight or light heavyweight.

He has his detractors, but give him credit. Although in his physical prime, it's not that easy to get out of bed and go and train hard and spar, while you have millions in your bank accounts.

He's already wearing silk pyjamas but still has motivation to continue his career.

It’s easy to see what’s going on if you have any knowledge of boxing and aren’t blinded by Canelo love the way his fans are. Earlier in his career he looked good against B-C level comp, he stepped up to face mayweather and got schooled. He looked great against angulo and everyone said he improved off the mayweather fight but he went right back to looking lost vs Lara. He then went on a selective run of opposition and the only decent name he faced was an old small Cotto. During that time he avoided ggg until he felt it was safe and needed judges help to avoid a loss in 2 fights. Went to a weak champion in fielding and stepped up again vs Jacobs and looked poor. He then picked on an old washed up and compromised Kovalev while leaving two good fights in the table at mw vs charlo and Andrade. Once Benavidez got stripped he petitioned for the vacant title, a belt he expressed 0 interest in getting when Benavidez had it and targeted one of the weakest divisions in boxing. Now he found himself another weak champion that he can take a belt from. So to summarize, his approach now is to find the weakest champion available, not the best challenge available.
