Good for her. Sure womens boxing isnt like mens but the men have had a running head start. It aint even close. She is one of the biggest stars that the women have. And i love her personality. With respect, the use of ‘woke’ as a pejorative, by permanently angry middle-aged men in the public eye, appears to have begun around the time of 2020’s anti-racist protests and was used to disparage people that would talk about racism and used to try to boycott companies that had the audacity to e.g., put some black people in adverts.

Shields is a very good Boxer but has a toxic personality, she is hard to like. But of course if you say you don't like her you must be a racist.

I’m with you in a lot of what you say, normally, but my problem is that I’ve seen people on here out and out call her a ‘gorilla’, ‘******’ and numerous other more subtle epithets.

I’m guessing a lot of people really just dislike her confidence, because female extroversion can be threatening to males. Me? Do you know her personally? (that's an honest question, not implying you don't). I don't but I've been in her presence and know people who have dealt with her. She tried to screw over a local gym she was training at and then badmouth them on social media for no reason other than the fact that she's a c#nt who thinks she's God's gift to sports. Not everyone just dislikes someone for no reason. She's bitter and pissed because no one cares about her despite her accomplishments. She's pissed because she's not a man, doesn't get paid like one and never will because she can't figure out how to put asses in the seats the way Ronda Rousey did. Maybe she should buy herself a personality and get a better promoter. Stop me when I'm wrong.

I think the marketing model for boxers, especially of black descent, is to be a heel rather than a hero. Andre ward was as close to a hero as one could be and he wasn’t beloved and couldn’t draw outside of his area. The miracle man Danny jacobs is one of the most inspiring stories in the game to date, can’t draw and not a hero. It’s easier to be a heel and have people pay to hate you than be a hero in obscurity, it just pays better.

I just told you I used to frequent a gym she trained at and talked to the staff who I knew personally. They have no reason to lie. If you want to say that's "rhetoric, no substance" knock yourself out. I honestly don't feel strongly enough about the subject or what you think to sit here and start naming names over an internet forum. Like I said her biggest problem is she doesn't feel she's getting paid what she thinks she's worth. And once again that boils down to her inability (blame it on whatever you want) to put asses in the seats. It's simply mathematics, something she and the US women's soccer team don't seem to understand. Rhonda Rousey never had that problem.
